8288WS Over Island Lights

One thing that I think could be improved is the light output of the hanging lights over the island.

Has anyone replaced those LED bulbs with a brighter LED bulb, and if so do you have a source?

I will be watching this thread with interest as we have the same trailer and although we just bought it and haven't used it yet...we too have found that the bulbs over the island dont appear that strong.

I just ordered two types of "high output" 921 LED Bulbs to try.

I'll post my findings when I return home and can try them.

Currently in Phoenix to get cataract surgery on the dog's eyes. Diabetes caused cataracts.

Glad to report that in 105+ temperatures, the two Air Conditioners are keeping it very comfortable in here.

I ordered these from Amazon, since I have Prime and they'll be there when I get home on Thursday.

I've thought the same with ours but thus far haven't looked for anything to replace them with.

I'll be interested to see how those new bulbs work out. Our new 5th wheel must have the same factory bulbs as they are not very bright either.

I think these are the ones I put in my above-island lights...I can't find the order history on Amazon or Camping World They match the picture exactly. I used them because they aren't too long..I had longer similar bulbs but they looked bad hanging down so far in the tulip shades. They aren't TOO bright, and the light temperature is maybe a little whiter than the original incandescents.
FWIW Amazon.com: GRV T10 921 194 18-5050 SMD LED Bulb lamp Super Bright Warm White DC 12V Pack of 2: Automotive

For bright (and COOLER) light, I put these in the dual ceiling lights above the steps (Optional switch), the ceiling lights above the dinette and sofa, and also in the dual ceiling light in the bedroom. I haven't put them in the dual light above the Lazy Boys because the table lamp and under cabinet lights have been enough...but it's on my list when the price drops

Final report

Here is what I found regarding the two replacement bulbs I tried. First, I'll identify the bulbs and the source I used.

BULB 1
Amazon.com: 2 pcs Car/Truck/Vehicle T15/T10 High Power CREE LED Projector bulb 912 921 Reverse Backup SMD LED Light White - Compatible Bulb Model(for reference only):T10 T15 158 168 192 193 194 2825 921 W5WB W5W 2821 1250 1251 1252 12256 12961 147 15

BULB 2
Amazon.com: 2pcs 68-SMD T15 12V LED Replacement Light Bulbs + STICKER 921 912 906 - White: Automotive

The pictures are in pairs with a picture of the fixture and the light sent to the ceiling, and the second picture of the light projected on to the counter. Hopefully appearing side by side.

ORIGINAL OEM BULB

BULB 1 in LEFT FIXTURE / OEM in RIGHT FIXTURE

BULB 2 in LEFT FIXTURE / OEM in RIGHT FIXTURE

BULB 1 in BOTH FIXTURES

BULB 2 in BOTH FIXTURES

So while Bulb 2 projects more light on the ceiling for general room illumination, Bulb 1 is definitely the best one for casting light on to the counter, which is what the DW wanted.

All pictures were taken with the same camera exposures.
