8289--inside and outside wall thickness

Wanted to get one of those ECONO WALL HEATERS for the bedroom on the 8289...need about an inch or so to sink a bolt in the wall to hold it,,,,was thinking on the bedroom wall , the other side is the shower,,,,do I have an inch to do it on??? 2nd alternative, to put it adjacent to the window on the outside wall,,,same question, is ther enough depth???? would appreciate your assistance,,,
we do camping in the winter, and I'd prefer using the electric we are already payng for, rather than to burn propane

Your walls are 2" thick. 1/8 wall and then form insulation then 1/8" laminated together. Could be 3/8" but not more then that on all outside walls. Do not know of inside wall, such as the bathroom.

Using a spring loaded closet rod and a curtain to match 5 th wheel interior, I placed at the top of steps to isolate bathroom and bedroom from living area. We use a ceramic tower heater from lowes and locate it in the hallway. It is out of the way and helps keep bathroom warm. No holes and takes up very little space.

That is strange to me about the outside wall thickness. I installed to 6" speakers to replace the 4" that came standard on the 2012. When I measured the wall after I had to take out that white pressed insulation. I measured from the outside to the back of the inside. Maybe my eyes are not as good as they used to be but my tape said 2". I was also told that by the factory at the Goshen Rally. They were going to install some Jensens that I bought from the vendors there. When FR came to install them the next day, they said they couldn't because the wall was only 2" thick. I had to buy the Concertone, That's why they are built on an angle....... They must have made a change between the 2012 models and the 2014 which you have.

I can only report what I was told by the Forest River Warrantee department...seemed a little thin to me as well,,but the 8289 is not really a 4 season trailer, so the insulation is probably not all that great,,,,

I don't think FR even makes a 4 season trailer, You are correct on the tour of the plant they even stated that it's a 3 season trailer.

looks good I guess that is electric correct? How many BTU'S and AMP draw? If it's electric where did you plug it in at? Also what else is on that circuit.

plugged it in to the outlet that is there for the television,,,,,the heater is very economical only 400 watts instead of 12 or 1500 watts works great ! don't know what the BTU is, but it only draws 3.3 Amps,,,this model is good for a reular small room (8X10) should be more than enough for the camper bedroom !
