I am going to get a flaming for this but I put supports under the slides, just enough pressure but not enough to lift, also 6x6 blocks under the LDG gear , stabs in the back, and tripod. with 4 kids running around in the back room and they never sit still with out the supports that thing is moving.

No flaming, we all make our choices as to what works best for us. But just as long as the OP (hammerhead) and future readers understand that this is specifically called out in their FR Owners manual as being not recommended.
