My tow vehicle is in my signature, but I wee I forgot to put "3500" in the description. I edit that, and thanks for pointing that out.

I have been towing a 15K Toy Hauler, and a 18K Scoreboard Trailer, so I'm in heaven with the 8289WS behind me, and the RAM is breathing a sigh of relief.

Can't wait to "tear into it". LOL That's my nature, and it drives the DW nuts. LOL

I do not know if I would say that, I know of 2 older members that have been pulling the same weight as that unit with 1/2 tons with no problem at all. You could email the OLDCOOT or DAISYBOYDKIN, they both tow with a 1/2 ton and they say no problem at all. I would say if these 2 guy's say that I respect there knowledge to say it's possible, I would think that they know what they are talking about. But again I do not know what if any mods they did to their TV. I have a 3/4 ton, but was thinking of dropping down to a 150, but as you said the pin weight is at about 1650lbs. I know that for sure because I did the weight with Dave_monica help. Dave can give you all that info> He is a guru on this stuff, and what he say's I would take it to the bank......
