The bunkhouse surround sound through the front HDMI will not sound when placing a DVD, netflixs , local antenna or satellite / cable. I know the tv works because I've tested with separate DVD player. I have not tried the components AV or video , I'd like to uses HDMI only. WTH, the only sound that works is the am fm Bluetooth
If I remember correctly, our surround sound doesn't work when using tv antenna, Netflix or anything that doesn't first go through the stereo/receiver. If you try wiring it via the receiver it should work then. I'm not sure why your DVD doesn't work if it's played through the builtin stereo receiver combo. Sorry I can't be of more help.
