8327ss

My wife and I decided to purchase our first 'new' camper. Any suggestions I should look for during our walk around? We are going to pick it up Thursday prior to the weekend. We are very excited and finally found the rig we wanted.

Congratulations on the decision. Welcome to the forum. I'm sure that some 8327ss owners will pop in too.

In the meantime, here is a link to the PDI Checklist in the library. Happy Camping!

Download the link above. You could e-mail it to your dealer so they know what you'll be looking at. Ask them to e-mail you a copy of their PDI checklist too and look it over. Don't let them rush thru the PDI, expect to spend a couple hours. If there is anything you don't understand have them explain it again. Maybe try to take a video of stuff like the winterizing procedure as it'll be a while before you need to use it. Anything that doesn't meet your expectations have them fix it or get it in writting to be fixed later if it's minor. Don't sign anything until you're satisfied. Good luck and congrats on your first 'new' camper.

I took delivery of our 8327SS almost a month ago, and it is FANTASTIC!! We have been out with it twice and everything has worked perfectly so far and it really seems to be a high quality TT.

For 2015 you will get a vent in the kitchen which doesn't show up in the layout, so if you want a fan in there tell your dealer asap! We didn't know but wish we did..

If there was anything I have to suggest is to ALWAYS remember the drivers side storage compartment door... You will either close the slide in on it or pop it off the hold open clip. Trust me...you will. Other than that I would say that you will have to be selective on how much stuff you transfer over from your old camper as there is not a whole lot of cargo capacity.

Wishing you many miles of enjoyment with your new 8327SS, and feel free to contact me with any other questions!

Picked up the camper tonight. It's wonderful and we are very excited to use it. I have one question (I'm sure it's the start of many) but it has a black lens looking thing under the 3 marker lights on the back end. Does anyone know what this is for? It's a 2015 8327ss. Looks like it could be for a back up camera. Any ideas

Colem, that's a new one on me... I have no idea. We don't have it on our '15. Now you have me curious. I'd love a better photo when you get a chance. Great looking rig, congratulations!!!

That is a positive pressure vent, to keep you from poppin out windows when you bring in the slides. Stand at the back with your hand by it and have somebody close the slide, it will displace a LOT of air if all the roof vents and doors/windows are closed. Same goes for putting slide out. Campers without slides or small slides will not have unless possibly they are integrated elsewhere, vent into the pass thru etc.

Man, I'm jealous! Lol. I never saw that on the option sheet! I am definitely curious as to the method of hooking it up. Bonus for you Colem!!

Looking at the .pdf brochure it appears that this part is just a housing that a wireless camera clips into that was installed at factory, looks like there should be a small harness inside it that should be wired to power and a signal from reverse wire on 7 pin plug.
You will need to purchase camera and receiver from furrion.

Thanks RhoZeta looks like I need to investigate and save a few bucks since backing this beast into a very tight site this weekend I found it would be very nice to have a visual behind the camper. Our family is very pleased with the product so far no issues and I think we have used everything except the heater. Thanks everyone
