8328BS Maiden Voyage

We just got back from our inaugural trip with our 2016 8328BS. After many painful months of youtube watching, trips to dealers and countless internet searches we finally decided on the 8328BS and let me tell you we couldn't be happier. Our trip took us from South Florida to Cherokee, NC with a couple of stops along the way and then back down thru Georgia and on into Florida where we stayed at Ft Wilderness for the final leg. The rig itself handled like a champ when on the road as well as when we were all setup. The attention to detail and quality that we found in the Forest River was a real joy. We invested this time in the JT Strongarm jack stabilizers which made a world of difference as well as in a Hughes Autoformer (great piece of mind).
Our last rig was 10 years old so all the new "bells and whistles" with a newer rig has been a real joy.
Looking forward to seeing more Forest Rivers on the road and learning from all of you.

Very nice travel trailer. What is the vehicle that you tow it with?

8328BS

We're also looking at the 8328BS but are concerned about the somewhat small outside storage under the bedroom slide. How have you made out with the amount of storage in your TT?

How did you secure your bikes?

Securing the bikes turned out to be a huge mistake. Our dealer sold us a bike rack that hangs off the ladder but after putting the bikes on and securing with bungy cords we found that the ladder got dented. After the trip we ordered/replaced the ladder and found out that at least with this type of ladder you should never mount bikes and to only use it for climbing up to the roof. I guess a lesson learned for us.
