9,912 miles; 2014 Rockwood 8280WS

My fifth wheel is named Liberty and I've towed her 9,912 miles since April 11, 2013. She is the first RV I've owned and I am proud to say that even after that many miles, there is not anything of major concern wrong with her. Sure, I had to tighten some screws here and there but nothing major.

We have seen 25 states and stayed in 73 campgrounds in the last 9 months. That is 73 hitching and 73 unhitching. I don't do nearly the amount of routine maintenance that I should. Too many times the grease worm has to holler at me for lubrication. My roof does not leak and my windows don't sweat. I may have a small area of sagging floor but even that I consider minor. The reason I say "may" is that it feels spongy but there is no noticeable sag when a straight edge is laid across it.

Bottom line for me is that I chose the correct RV for my full-time traveling when I chose a Forest River product.

I may have gotten lucky in the construction of my individual RV, but either way, I'm satisfied.

Just thought I would put it out there. Ya'll take care and I'll Cya down the road.

Probably many more stories out there like Darrell...unfortunately the happy people don't often post about their happy ownership. Those with issues and problems post in search of answers. But considering the sheer numbers of trailers out there...I am sure there are many happy owners.

Congrats Darrell and welcome -- are you gonna make the Goshen FROG International Rally this year? You can get FR to look at that "sag" and if it is a real issue, FR will repair it for free!

Congrats, and I hope the luck with the RV holds up. I love my 8289 and have no complaints at all.

Oh yeah...with a minor exception of a A/C replacement (and all the upgrade maintenance done at Goshen) we have not had problem 1 with our 8289!

Man I love reading these posts about liking Rockwood's. We are seriously considering a Rockwood 8310SS and will decide at the Novi, Michigan show in Feb.
Happy trails,

I picked up our 2015 Rockwood 8280ws July 30th. We put 2200 miles on it before parking it in October for the winter. I have only good things to say about it. Now I spend cold winter days planning spring, summer, and fall trips.

We have owned a Flagstaff 27RLWS since July 24, 2013 and have 16,000 miles on it and 120 nights in it. We have had very minor problems with the trailer; I wish they would tighten up the water supply lines more than hand tight; and have had it from Alaska to Arizona and a lot of places in between. We are very pleased.

Rockwood 8280WS - 2012 - Love it. Been a real good unit for us. Probably 15,000 miles - no major problems=. Great unit.

Tows great - Silverado 1500, 5.3l v/8, 6 speed GM Tranny, all towing options. Life is good. Ken

We have had a Flagstaff MicroLite for 2 years now. We have been so happy with it that we picked up a new Rockwood 2604WS today.

Everything was like new and we were able to get a good trade in value for it.

Have 6,432 miles on our 2014 8282WS since Nov 2013, and have loved every mile. Our biggest problem was having to remount the ceiling fan and replace a torn heater duct. It's a great unit for us.

Enjoy every minute!

Been a happy Rockwood 8280SS (no bedroom slide) owner since July 2008.

I have resolved every issue that has arisen myself, if they bothered me enough. The furnace doesn't work quite right, but it doesn't bother me so I've never bothered with it.

I had a roof leak at the front cap and now have some delamination. Not much, and the trailer is 7 years old. Not going to worry about it.

As far as quality goes, I think this is a really well made trailer. When we bought it we agreed that barring some disaster this would be the only RV we ever owned and since it's holding up so well that will very likely be the case. We have been to the RV shows and like our vintage better than the newer models for the most part.

Very happy with it. The Rockwood/Flagstaff are likely the best bang for buck ratio in the FR line up. You can spend money and get fancier, but not better.

Glad to hear the positive words!! My wife bought a 2015 Flagstaff 26RLWS last month and are looking forward to many years of relationship building and exploring (Texas). We believe that Flagstaff/Rockwood is a good brand and deeply believe we made a good choice.....time will tell. Great to hear good words!!
