I agree with Ken. I have a Dodge Durango rated for 7200lbs with the 5.7 Hemi and it does fine. Have towed approx. 5,000 miles with no problems.

I don't buy in to the notion that you need to have a 2500 HD with an 8-12 cyl Cummings diesel, or a Duramax whatever. I've pretty much proven that to myself this past summer by logging about 10,000 towed miles pulling 5000-6000 lbs with a 4.0 liter 6 cyl engine. The Colorado has a beefier rating than my Tacoma, I think it 's 7000 lbs, mines 6500 Lbs. If it's set up, and loaded properly. There's absolutely no reason he couldn't pull that trailer with his truck. I think the people that have tried and failed upgraded to a bigger TV because they couldn't set up, and load the trailer properly and had trouble with the thing swaying even in a light breeze. If it had been set up properly this wouldn't happen. Just saying once you get it set up and have a load plan, stability comes very easily.
Sounds like you have it dialed Ken. Congrats, and Happy New Year, and many happy camping trips. Ron
