I designed made and installed a flip up shelf behind the couch and a flip up headboard, to block the voids. I've sent Instructions to 45 FROG members so far. And posted them here, some place as well.

Actually you should be more worried by how many screws are holding up the vertical panel that the piano hinge is attached to.
When I picked up my Mini Lite, the screws they put in on the left side had missed the vertical panel, so the vertical panel was wobbling around when you tried to lower the bed. Dealer put in a couple, and when I got home, I put in several more on each side.
I stole fella 10's pic to show you. Notice there isn't even a screw at the top, where the stresses are greatest.
