Why wouldn't an AGM battery work?
Perhaps you could Google that information yourself to find how it directly affects TT usage.

AGM charging routine is generally very close to the wet cell routine and as long as you have a modern 3 or 4 stage charger, they should present NO problem. They DO like to be treated well though for best life so:
1. Always charge them fully after use. If you don't charge them to 100% their capacity will deteriorate over time.
2. Don't leave them unattended and plugged in at float charge levels for weeks at a time. Charge them fully...then disconnect at the negative terminal if you won't be visiting for a while. The SELF discharge rate is about 1/10th of the wet cell rate and they can sit for a LONG (6 months+) time unattended and hold their charge.

Rockwoods don't have INverters, unless a previous owner installed one.
They do have CONverters, which recharge the battery when plugged into shore power or a generator.
All RVs come with CONverters while few come with INverters.

AGM battery works great
I have an AGM battery in my camper for 7 months. It is great. Just use the disconnect switch when stored. It will keep the charge for 3 months and lose maybe 5% of reserve. There is no maintenance.

AGM batteries have slightly different charge characteristics then standard wet cells... that being said, I have used an AGM as a start battery in my tow vehicle for nearly 4 years and it worked great... however this spring I changed tow vehicles and pulled out the AGM to use as an extra battery around the garage... my regular wet cell battery charger/maintainer did not seem to keep it charged all the way and I thought it was going dead on me.
I finally bought a specific AGM charger/maintainer early in the summer for about $60... for several days the AGM charger only showed a 50-75% charge, but this AGM charger/maintainer also desulfates and after about a week the battery finally showed 100% charge... I use the battery to power a portable hitch mounted winch setup that I sometimes use when cutting down the dead ash trees we have around the house. After I am done with it the AGM goes back on the charger/maintainer, where after an overnight charge it goes back to 100%.
My take is after this experience is that AGM are tough batteries, but when down for a season like over the winter in an RV, a specific AGM charger will probably get you the most out of the battery.
just my opinion based on my experiences with one AGM that is now almost 5 years old

I have AGM batteries in both vehicles and our TT. Definitely a tough battery. The oldest is 6 years old in a '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

We're looking at an AGM battery for our 2104s. What are the dimensions of the battery that comes standard with the Mini Lite? We're over 200 mi away from the TT right now and want to be sure what we buy here will fit in the battery box when we take it there.

SusanO, there are two standard size battery boxes used on most TT's. The small one uses a group 24 battery. The larger box can hold either a group 27,29 or 31 battery. Two side by side small boxes are possible but there is not enough room for two side by side large boxes, at least on my 2504s. If you just want to run 1 battery upgrade to a group 31. The larger box only costs like $10-12 dollars. Jay

One problem with AGM batteries is that if they are ever fully discharged the converter on the RV will not be able to recharge them.
I found this out the hard way when I left my refrig on DC power on a previous trailer once thinking the solar panels would keep the batteries charged up.
The AGM battery would not accept a charge.
I took it back to Batteries Plus and they had to charge it at a very high rate in order to bring it back to life.

That has been my experience as well. When I have had one get drained right or wrong I use jumper cables from the tv for about 10 minutes and then the charger took over from there.
