Ain't she purdy???

My shiny new 2017 2104s with all the bells and whistles...mostly. Yeah, that's a Frontier pulling it but I was within weight specs (at least while dry and empty) and I was very impressed by my Fronty's performance dragging that thing through 230 miles of South Texas heat to get it home. I prepped the truck up nicely, which will be another post, and should last until I replace it with a 1/2 ton in the near future.
I kept my speed around 60-65 MPH, but thanks to a steady headwind, blasting A/C and no overdrive I was gulping fuel like a freight train. The terrain was relatively flat, but there were a few hills, the steeper one's meant a drop to 3rd gear and a few MPH. My WDH and brake controller made the drive a breeze. I could definitely tell it was back there but rarely did the tail wag the dog.
For now I'll be doing some easy, local weekend getaways until I upgrade the TV. This will also serve as my hurricane evacuation plan just in case the Gulf decides to throw a party this summer. I have lots of mods planned while it's in my driveway, many ideas have been inspired by lurking on this excellent forum. I'll be sure to takes plenty of pictures and share my progress.

Thank you all for the encouraging comments! I've been scouring this forum and making a list of all the little mods I have in store.
So far:

-Put larger feet on the Murphy bed to prevent denting up the floor.
-Add a hard start capacitor to the A/C (if necessary).
-Install a folding counter top extension next to the stove.
-Fabricate insulating panels to block the skylights.
-Add a rack of hooks in the bathroom for towels.
-Improve storage layout in general, lots of good tips in the forum.

I'm already getting a dedicated 30A line set up in my garage so I can keep everything powered up and cool in the Texas heat while I work. That will also be useful if I need to set it up for company.
We're looking to have it ready in time for a long weekend at a nearby campground for the shakedown trip. There's a number of them in South Texas, still narrowing down the list.
Hope to see some of you fine folks out there some day! Thanks again.

a couple of ideas connected to the Murphy Bed and the sofa,..... we filled the large gaps behind the sofa and also at the head of the bed with two large tube pillows my wife made,..... very comfortable as head rest on the sofa and when poked down into the bed gaps they not only fill the gap so stuff won't fall in, but they actually increase the bed length as well,...... and the mirror, we like what it adds to our inside decor , just a cheap WM door mirror, I did have to remove the long side trim for it to fit,.... and yes it did get cracked before I could install, at that point I was aggravated and just taped over the cracked but intend to replace later,....... enjoy your new trailer

The mirror is a nice addition, adds a sense of space. I also noticed the gap behind the bed. I like to sit against a propped up pillow so that will have to be fixed. The DW knows her way around a sewing machine, I'm sure she can stitch something up to fill that space.
Thanks for the tips and pics!

DavidBo,...... one thing to be mindful of is the shower water trickling over the edge onto the floor,.....we had the twin to your trailer a 2014 Micro Lite 21DS and unless they have made a change, the shower is not designed to prevent the water from running down the back wall and flowing over to the edge and going onto the floor,.... we had to be constantly on guard to prevent that, there are some stick-on corner pieces to put at that bottom corner edge that should help,.... maybe they've made a design change and you don't have to bother with that now, but I just wanted to mention it,..... happy trailering

Nice looking rig, but it is definitely too low in the front. Hitch needs to be raised.
