Air Conditioner out put temp

I have a 2012 Windjammer 3001W with a 13.500 roof air. I tested the out put temperature and low was 65.5 degrees Fahrenheit. I have no idea what it should be. The compressor cycles and I am getting water running from the roof, so I assume it is running properly. I just feel it is not cooling the RV enough on hot days (85 degrees). Thanks in advance for any input; Frank

20 degree temp drop across a single heat exchanger is actually quite good. The object is to continue to drop the return air (85) with continuous drops. Goal might be 70 degree return air with 50 degree output. Secret is reduce the heat load incoming the space. Insulation, coated windows on south exposure etc. Yes a temp drop of 20F is normal.

Most A/C people say that about 20 degrees is the norm for properly operating A/C units output temperature to be compared with the ambient temperature. So if that is true, then the numbers you show here are just about right on.

Not sure about you, but 65 degrees output temperature would be more than cold enought for me and if your unit is wringing water out of the outside air, then it's doing its job.

Try closing window shades, etc.

Yes 20 degree differential is right on. Any colder then the t-stats gets satisfied before the humidity is removed. Results in a cold clammy feeling. I'm in the HVAC field with 37 years experience so I'm not just posting this to agree with the others, but they are right on their statements.
