Air Deflector

Someone gave me an air deflector for the top of my Ford Excursion. I tow a 31' Rockwood 8317SS. Any idea where on the SUV roof I should put it and how much change in the gas mileage I should expect?

It should go at the very rear of the SUV. I wouldn't expect much in the way of improved fuel economy. Maybe 1 or 2 mpg but people report more stability when using them. Let us know how you do with it when you get it installed.

Thanks for the information. I'd love to stop cleaning off the bugs, and even just 1 MPG will save me 34 gallons on a round trip to Colorado!!!
