I was wondering if we have anything like that on our Windjammers? We have a 2015 Windjammer 3025W. We haven't been able to take ours out since we purchased her last Fall, so I imagine there are some surprises we will discover our first time out.

Thanks.

Deb
I added these orange LED strip lights by my steps this weekend.

Furniture Re-arranged in 3008W

Question for the 3008W owners. Over the weekend I moved the dinette set over to where the recliners were sitting. Moved one recliner to where the dinette was sitting on the slide out, the other one beside it on the main floor frame. This made it much nicer to see the TV and the dinette in front of the window, minus two chairs, makes for a nice view. We also replace the large couch with a twin size hide a bed. So our weight on the slide out I am thinking should not be an issue. However your thoughts on this are appreciated and TIA.

New Owner, Longtime RV'r

Just traded in my Forest River Forester 3011D class C for a Windjammer 3029w Diamond package. Wife and I are ready for more room and missed our old Rockwood Signature. We like the setup and room available in this package. I have read all the pros and cons, but most of the cons sound like unfortunate problems and nothing that could not be taken care of. Looking forward to Windjammin and hearing all that the forum has to offer in tips and DIY mods and repairs.

Congrats and welcome to the forum! A good buddy of mine used to tell me that quote all the time before he retired and we quite often worked on computers.

Welcome to Windjammers! I think you will really like the WJ and the 3029 is a nice floor plan. We are lucky (?) I guess and have not had any real quality issues with ours that required leaving it at the dealer. We changed out the tires to D rated Goodyears and did a few personal upgrades inside, but otherwise it is just like we bought it and it has been 12,000+ miles and 100+ nights camping since 4/2014. Tows great, comfortable, and people in the parks always want to know what is in the pointy nose! LOL! You don't see a lot of them on the highway or parks, but we think it is a great TT.

MCTROY, thank you for that information. After you posted, I seemed to remember seeing that.

Fil564, those lights look great. If I remember correctly, that's the type of light the fifth wheel owner was talking about, and I thought strip LEDS there would look nice.

Thanks again.

Windjammer Steps Dragging

I am new to the forum and this is my first post.

We bought a 2011 3001W 34' Windjammer about 1 year ago. We love it, but had a problem with the rear steps dragging anytime we drove the wheels into any sort of dip or up a, not very steep, hill. I contacted Forest River, because I was told by a fellow camper that they recalled them and provided a 2" lift as a recall item. I was told that Forest River didn't offer a lift for the 2011, but the guy I talked to at the campground had a 2013 and was included in the recall. Anyway, I resolved the problem by converting from a 3 step to a 2 step in the rear. I just have to use a portable folding step. Otherwise, I had to remove the 3 step anytime I took the trailer to storage or I couldn't get up the hill without dragging the steps.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

Also, I haven't figured out how to get the "blue tooth" to work on the entertainment system. Can someone help? I want to play the music from my phone. I can connect it with a wire, but I think the blue tooth should connect as well.

Thank you!

Does this layout take up room in the kitchen? Also, when people walk in or sit at the tablex would they be looking at the back of the chair on the main floor?

We have a 2016 3008w. Can you send a couple of photos of this layout? I don't think it would take up room in the kitchen because my husband frequently moves the chair into the center when we are camped and you can get into the kitchen easily. I would prefer to use 4 chairs at the table so is the place where the loungers accommodating for 4 instead of 2 chairs? How well is the viewing area for the television with tone chair nestled back where the dinette was? My husband and I prefer to both sites in the loungers instead of the sofa. We have thought about this change.

Looks exactly like what I did to my V-light last fall. Hook right into step light switch. Later RJD
