Seems like Dometic will send you white lights at no cost. You just have to call them at 574-294-2511.
I will be calling them on Monday morning.

You are my hero! Dealership could not find this. I am calling tomorrow.

The valve switches the pump from pulling from that port or from the fresh water tank. Need to make sure it's pulling from the appropriate source.

Thank you for the reply. It is amazing how little info a person gets from the dealer and then finding the nuances between the diff makes and models. Makes it all that more exciting. Heading to Crater Lake in Oregon next week.

Don't you have electric jacks on the front? When retracted and mounted square on the frame the hex end is just under the outer edge of the TT.

Over 9 months travelling and finally saw the same model as ours on the road yesterday! We were on Texas Hwy 6 from Houston going towards Waco, they passed us and gave us a and I gave them a Hawaiian Hang Loose sign back.

Mirror, mirror

In three years of pulling our 3001W we saw ONE other when we were in AZ. People don't realize what great TT these are and all the base features.

The Zamp connection is just a light-gauge wire back to the electrical system.

The Zamp panels are WAY overpriced.... I can get a 100W panel on Amazon for $105 and a 15A quality MPPT controller for $100.

By contrast, the 40W Zamp panel/Controller is $350. The way I see it, 2.5x the power for almost 1/2 the price is the way to go even if I don't use the Zamp plug on the side of the trailer. I can mount the MPPT controller in the Propane storage area and cable directly to the battery and just put my own connector by the battery (cabled back to the controller) for the Panel.

Just my 2c.

Finished up a quick trip to Crater Lake, Oregon. Had a good time at a very quiet John Stewart Campground.

Had our first camping weekend at caesar creek state park near Waynesville Ohio. Nice park but we missed full hook up. Even worse, the LP detector went of three times- and about 2am each time! Could not smell any gas leaks and confirmed all appliances were ok. Finally pulled the fuse for the bath and killed the detector. Talked to our service guy today. He didn't think it is a gas leak but the detector has gone bad instead. This camper was built in August 2014. He said the detector usually have a 3 year life.So this weekend we are installing a new one. Anyone have suggestions or comments? Has anyone replaced their detector already?

Shastajammer- nice looking rig. Your truck looks good with the WJ. Too bad we brought a bright blue truck to match our boat before we got our WJ which is tan too. Oh well.

Trouble with Television and Radio Speakers

We have a 2017 WJ 3029W, I am trying to get the television sound to come through the radio ceiling speakers.
I wanted to also know if there is an easy access to back of radio to check connections?
I have followed the supplied instructions

any ideas appreciated.

We really like our WJ
taking out this weekend to state park in Arkansas.

I just use a 1/4" patch cord between the headphone jack on the TV and the input jack on the front of the radio.

I have an older WJ (2012), and lately I've had problems with the entertainment center not turning on. I googled the problem and found out that if I press and hold the "mode" button for 30 seconds it resolves the problem. Not sure what model you're entertainment system is, but you may want to google the problem with your specific model.

Shortly after we got our WJ we had the radio replaced because it wasn't playing well with the tv. Guess what? The new one wasn't much better. Sounds good for music, only ok with tv. Tv plays through aux 2 and the volume is adjusted on the t.v., not the stereo. Our outside speaker is weak and on the list to be replaced someday.

Just be aware that using any thing other than the ZAMP solar panels requires you to reverse the wiring at you camper to make other manufacture units work. Later RJD

2018 WJ 3008w, The Good, Bad and Ugly...

We are back from our trip to Ohio to pick up what turned out to be a 2018 Windjammer 3008w. The overall experience was good (but tiring)... Now for the observations....

The GOOD:

- The trailer checked out fine with no immediate issues found at delivery.
- All appliances and systems worked perfectly.
- All Clearance lights and Taillights are now LED.
- The Audio system is the new IRV68 horizontal model and works pretty well with a smartphone, either streaming music or being controlled.
- The System Control panel appears to be new as well and works well on the panel itself, remote control is another story that will be covered under 'The Bad'
- The Auto Level system worked well and came with vertical jacks mounted right behind the tires instead of the wing style like the front two jacks.
- It towed really well and the 30 mph cross-winds only provided a bit of weirdness but not anything I was concerned about.

The Bad:

- System control panel App appears to crash on Android 7+. It pairs fine on Android 6 although you have to reconnect to it via bluetooth each time you are in the unit.
- The trailer equipped came in at a weight of 7874 pounds. The GVWR is 8897 pounds (which appears to be 100 pounds less than 2016/17). The axles are only 4000 pound rated - what is FR thinking? Can't you just invest in the next class of axle and provide some more CCC.
- It came with Castle Rock LR-D tires. Will be upgrading those ASAP since it doesn't even have a decent tread depth.

The Ugly:
- The door stop for the front door broke when the door was pushed against it with some decent winds.
- During the trip home, the pocket door between the bathroom detached from the wheeled hangers and was sitting on floor in the pocket slot (fortunately). Looking at the top of the door, the screws had been attached onto just cardboard style particle board in the door. Not sure it was able to handle the rough Ohio roads. We'll be re-attaching with sturdier screws.
- Related to above, with the door out of the pocket, looking in the pocket, the area behind the door was just a mess of wires - not organized or well secured.

Here's a picture at the campground.... (Will post more pictures soon)

Does the door have a strap to lock the door closed. I found this to be an issue on a V-lite I had. Forgot to close door and strap shut got home door laying on floor. Later RJD
