Thanks for the information. I’ll upgrade mine this winter. Also going to add some trailer mounted back up lights. I love my wife but backing in a spot with a flash light does test me. Jk

I try not to set up at night, but if I have to I'll reach inside and turn on my two scare lights and get some light on the subject

I just keep thinking about no more V nose trailers being built. I guess people with bigger brains than mine have good reasons for that decision. I, however feel real fortunate to have one. There have been a few problems, but mostly minor. And I'm sure no worse than any other models out there. The size & floor plan ( 3029W ) are just about perfect for a couple only trailer. Feeling pretty lucky.

2x on both those replies. We finally got our Jammer under cover. The Ohio wet fall delayed a lot of the installation. We will finish sides and ends in the Spring. Without an option to replace our V nose with a new one. We have to make this one last.

All the dealers here snub the V-Lites and Windjamers. One of the folks that live here in the area had to go to AL to get one. The one dearler that carried them here and where I bought mine got bought out by Campers Inn and gone are the V nose campers. Later RJD

Nice set up. Just wish I had the room to do that but the best I can do is a cover for the winters. and like most we got to take care of them since no more for now will be made. Later RJD

Baffled

I am just baffled by the decision to no longer produce the V-Nose trailers. Why would they discontinue what seems to be one of the lines that almost every owner has been happy with? That opinion isn’t biased just because I own one — I base it on what I have read here and other places — it just seems to be one of the less-problematic and better-built trailers out there at that price point. I know there are people who are just as satisfied with their non-V-Nose trailers as I am with my V-Nose, but as a whole, I think the V-Nose lines have them all beat.

From what I read the low sale volume is why they decided to stop production for now and use that space to produce the better selling models of the Rockwood. It also was mentioned that they could bring them back at some later Date. Later RJD

Hey folks, Thought I would ask the V nose group if any of you folks are using the TPMS set ups and if so which ones.

EEZTIRE is looking good to me right now.

And secondly anybody using the Smart RV Fridge fan to keep down the ice and even temps in the Fridge ??

Any input is much appreciated !

I've been looking at TPMS also. I ran across a comparison here https://www.rvweb.net/best-rv-tire-p...tems-reviewed/ and thought it was pretty informative. On some of these, especially the cheaper ones, make sure the tire pressure limits are above the maximum of the tire as I saw some complaining that the monitor wouldn't stop alarming. This is most likely due to purchasing the wrong setup. My tires are supposed to be at 65PSI but some of the units stop at 60PSI. On the fridge fan, I bought a couple of small computer fans and wired them to the light on the hot side. I used velcro to attach them to the drip tray blowing towards the rear of the unit through the fins. It seemed to work well so I bought a bigger fan, one about 4 inches across that would really move air. That one didn't work so well as it moved too much air and the fridge didn't cool good. Here are the fans I ordered if you want to experiment.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This is the second one but it pushes too much air.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
One thing to note is these can be velcroed almost anywhere and are safer than exposed bladed fans.

You really don't need that much room. I had my cover cut back in size due to it being near a roadway and 8' into the servitude. It is 16' wide and 36' long. Cost me $3200 and some change but it will keep that pecan tree behind it from destroying the roof. I've only had the camper for 8 months and already the roof started turning black from that tree. I plan on putting some more metal on my shop side so it will block some of the rain coming off my building into the canopy area. At 16' wide the only real thing you can't do is extend the awning.

It's a Carolina Carports brand. It is 16' X 36' and cost me a little more than $3200. This is not a common size width so I had to pay the same as what an 18X36 costs. Wind rated for 140MPH with 6 mobile home anchors. Check around for local dealers as they will be there after the sale unlike the internet sales ones. You'll notice I have more metal on one side due to it being jammed up next to my shop. They couldn't get the metal up there and be able to run screws into it but I will take care of that later. Took about 3 hours for them to assemble.

I use the EEZ tire set up and like it. I have a 3008w towed with a F250 standard bed and need a repeater to get reliable transmission from the sensors to the LCD display. Other than that no issues. I mounted the repeater in the gas bottle hold. I use the non pass through sensors.

v nose

We have the 2618 VS and absolutely love it and it is perfect for the DW and I.
We had been looking at the 3008W but could not justify the move to a larger trailer for the 2 of us.

My DW has developed some serious health issues so we may have to hang up our camper hats and stay home. If we have to give it up, I wonder if the resale will be a bit better than a standard front now that you cant buy them anymore.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I don't think that is going to matter to most folks. Generally those buying used are just getting started or upgrading but don't want to pay dealer prices on a new one. While it is a great selling point, I believe the floor plan is what initially gets a potential buyer interested. When I purchased my Flagstaff 30WTBSV 8 months ago, I traded in a FR Cherokee Limited 274DBH. The biggest selling point was the master bedroom. I wanted several items as well like an outdoor kitchen with a large fridge, better dining area and separate bunks for the kids. This is the best trailer I've owned but it won't be my last Flagstaff. Wish I could have gotten it without the second door and a real shower door but what I have is workable. So if someone is looking for your particular style and it is in great shape, you should be able to get market value. I was hoping the V nose would offset the extra weight (1000 pounds heavier than the old one)and equal out my MPG but that didn't happen. I do notice it is more stable on the road and doesn't succumb to wind turbulence like the Cherokee did.

The area is a little misleading as the pad is about 12ft wide and also do to the uneven surface its not feasible to install a unit like yours. Also I can not even put the awning out as it hits the house. So the next best thing is the cover and been doing this on various campers over the years. Later RJD

CCBR.net Richard. He had a 3 man crew come in from Texas to set it up. They work the Louisiana area and the main guy said they do several a day. Nice guys and hard workers.
