Another IRV 33 radio question

I have a 2015 2104S Mini Lite, which we love by the way, but I'm on my second IRV 33 in 13 months. I checked the other threads as well as the "Operations Manual" and am unable to find how to adjust the equalizer.... Is it adjustable or should I stop looking?

Mine does not have an equalizer that I'm aware of.

I assume you're talking about a way to adjust the bass and treble?

yeah I don't think my iRV33 (or iRV34 for that matter) have those adjustments. At least, I haven't found any.

On mine you push/tap the volume button in. You can then cycle through the settings.

IRV Equalizer adjustment

Thanks for all the come-backs. It helped me to discover how the equalizer adjustment process works. When the MENU button is used the list includes what you are going to use the radio for such as HDMI, Blue Tooth etc. Pressing the VOLUME control will show another list, all having do with sound.

Turn radio on

Using the menu button, you will find:

CLOCK
BT (Bluetooth)
F AVIN
TV AUDIO
FR AUDIO
DOT/DCC IN
R HDMI IN
F HDMI IN
HDMI ARC

Pressing the volume control, (radio on) you will find:
(There will be a equalizer graphic at the bottom of the screen}

CLOCK
RADIO STATION (AM/FM/ETC)
VOLUME
BASS
TREBLE
BALANCE
"E9" OFF (E9 = EQUALIZER)

Turning the volume control clockwise while in the "E9" mode you will find

CLASSICAL
POP
ROCK
FLAT
E9 OFF

Each setting has a pre-adjusted sound with a different graphic at the bottom of the screen.

Again, this equalizer adjustment is not explained in the manual. Hopefully it will save some frustration of other IRV users.

IRV Operation Manuals are available at their website.

Good explanation on how it works. I wouldn't have been able to remember all that to explain it.

On my 2109s the left/right aux outputs that go to the Televisons inputs were actually hooked up wrong as well. They had them going to the Radio input so if I wanted the built in speakers on the tv to work they never would have.

I wish they would have run an HDMI to the outside wall as well with the coax cable. It's once a summer we would want to hang the tv outside but having HDMI to watch sled videos to get us geared up for winter while having a few drinks is a great time! I will have to run my own.

IRV Equalizer adjustment

You can try pushing the volume control when it's on "USA" and see where it goes from there. Is the radio a IRV 33? Sounds like Rockwood used a few different models of the IRV radio. The model number is not on the front of my radio, just in the Operation Manual.

I cannot find a USA/EUROPE setting on mine. There is no mention of it in the IRV33 manual, but the equalizer adjustment information wasn't in it either.

Maybe someone with your model trailer can shed some light on this.... Sorry I couldn't help more.

well all along I thought it was a 33 however it is a 31. strange thing is that on the screen far right side bottom there's a little icon that says EQ. never mind just kept holding down the volume and all the sound stuff came up. still don't have a clue what USA/Europe means

I don't know if it is true surround sound, but you should be able to play your TV through the speakers to at least enhance the sound. Are you able to do this?

I am resurrecting an old thread hoping you can help. When I have my outside speakers on, I can't figure out how to adjust the volume. Turning the volume button does nothing. It does work when only using the inside speakers.

This thread helped me restore my USA settings when I accidentally set them to Europe settings and had no idea how I had done it!!

Press and hold the 3 button briefly.. It will bring up the menu to be able to select what mode you want the outside speakers (zone 3) to be in. You can select radio, tv, whatever. Then you can adjust volume for zone 3. This allows zone 1and2 to be different than zone 3.

Thanks. I'll try that. Good to know we aren't stuck on loud for outside. Want to be a good neighbor.

Yes you can. It's not already in surround sound mode? Check you wiring diagram for proper hookup. If you don't have a diagram or can't figure it out, do a search for IRV33 or whatever it is, and find the manufacturers rep. Sorry I can't remember his name; we have dealt with them before, and they can talk you through anything, and replace your unit if need be.
Excellent customer service. By the way- I'm supposed to have a sub-woofer in my 3.1 system, but I'll be darned if I can find it...
