any reviews or concerns with 2007 8314ss

does any one have any comments, concerns with 2007 8314ss there seems to be an over abundance of units for sale thru out the internet

I have a 2006 I bought new, It's ok. Some things could have been engineered better then what they have come up with. My wife loves the floor plan, but I am more into quality. I can say one thing, Forest River has the 1 year warrenty down to a science, a week after the warrenty was up my problems started, but that's my luck.....

bought mine new in Mar 07... full timed in it that fall... and done a couple laps around lake michigan as well. Makes a great guest house as well when @ home.,,
black/gray indicaters must be the cheapest on the market as they're never anywhere close to accurate...and had an inverter/charger problem, but the dealer took care of me on it.
Only other thing was the fold-out bed frame... Dealer got an OK to replace sofa with one of the air-mattress types (think that became available in 08)...
Now if i could only get FULLY retired and be able to use it more!

... forgot to mention they also replced the concertone....(newer model).. and i replaced the L/R TV with a 32" flat screen. The original hangs nicely outside now!

how did you get the 32" to fit in that small space in the entertainment center?
also how was the inverter acting that made you know it needed replacement

for the inverter, the 12v side of town completely died.. battery wouldn't charge (and batt not that old!!!)... and NOTHING would work that was 12v.... only 110 items... I was thinking it may have been a bad battery, but dealer said it was inverter.. and don't recall now if he replaced battery or not at same time... (i miss my memory sometimes....)

FYI

If your dealer doesn't tell you when you are doing a deal on a new unit, ask them about the second year of warranty. FR offers a 1 year extension of their factory warranty when buying a new unit. I am not positive if the price is the same for every unit or if it varies. In our case it was only $150 and IMO it's worth every penny. Many items can go bad after that first year as has been reported in many threads on this forum. Most cost well over the cost of the warranty extension so the value is there. Some delears will not tell you about it. Don't know why. It's in your best interest and it's no cost to them. The paperwork on this must be mailed directly to FR with the payment within 10 days if I remember correctly. FR stamps the paperwork paid and sends a copy back to you for record keeping.
