If you want a digital stat Dometic has them but they are pricey. Found this post on amazon under questions, but it didn't say what the unit was:::::: Will this work with a 12v rv system?
A: Yes, it will. I just installed one in my Chalet Alpine trailer. Works great. You have to spend a little time working out the wiring but it's not hard. As others have mentioned, the batteries are not the power source for the heating loop. If you need help figuring out which terminals to wire I can post that. W. Phelps answered on July 21, 2014
Thanks, I will give it one more try before I smash it! I came close the other day so put it away for a while.

The colors are getting faded, from L to R they are red yellow white brown orange and green. The terminals are marked 7.5, cool, fur, high fan, gnd.

I have never been on top of any of my trailers. If a dealer tears it they have the problem from that time on, not me.

I can see how a 13.5 btu ac unit would have a hard time keeping up. Lot of volume to cool inside a fiver.

I would try
red-rh/rc
white - white
y-y compresser
either orange or brown to fan
tape off the green and either the brown you have left over or orange.
Your only going to have a single fan high or low, really not much difference in CFM'S. Could the brown be Black faded out. Green is normally fan. You can tell by unhooking each one at atime and see what it controls start with the orange and see what comes on when you put the cover on, then rehook the orange and do the brown, and then the same with the green when it won't come on at all we know what is your ground then.

Sorry your not feeling well
here is the way to hook-up your stat
Red to rh/rc
yellow to cool
white to furnace
For high fan hook -up the brown
For low fan hook-up the orange
Only 1 wire for fan tape the one not used
Also tape off green and blue. So you will have 3 wires taped off.
That should work for you...

Thank you. I will give it a try. Just one problem. What terminal is the cool, furnace and high fan? Honeywell marks their terminals as B, O,G, Y, W, and the R - Rc. I have tried matching color to the letter such as Y is yellow and it didn't work.

Forget B and O do not attach anything
G- is your fan
y-is your compressor
w- is your furnace
R-RC - should have a jumper installed already if not strip the red back and wrap it around both. Rh stands for heat RC stands for cooling You need both energized all the time with your Red wire.

If you touch the yellow and red together the compressor should start. If you have a switch that say's electric or gas make sure it is on gas. Take a picture of the sub base so I can see how they marked the screws on the honeywell I can not find a diagram for it. Then I could probably tell you exactly...
