Anything Underneath the LaZBoy Chairs?

My wife and I are enjoying this forum and learning a lot of great stuff!

She's wondering about the two LaZBoy chairs that we have and them damaging the flooring since nothing is underneath them.

She bought a couple of throw rugs to put underneath but they were too small for them.

Do y'all have anything underneath them or had any problems with them damaging the floor since we do have to slide them around to prep for traveling. (I did install the hold-down straps my dealer got from Forest River and they are great.)

I was wondering about the same thing. They are not that hard to scoot around. Tonight after work I'm going to clean my "wood look" floors and I'll tilt my LaZboys and see what's under there.

In our Rockwood...the 2 lazyboys have teflon gliders under the feet but still seemed to not slide around that well, so I put a strip of self adhesive felt strips on the teflon glides....the type you can buy at Home Depot/Lowe's that you would put under furniture in the house...that seemed to do the trick.

On your Rockwood the (Rubber/Plastic) pads on the L/Boys will (Dimple) the (Floor) in the Salem? This is based on weight of and in the L/Boy! I removed the stock pads and made (Long Wood Runners) front and Back. Now there is a (Large Footprint) for the L/Boys to sit on! No more 1/4 size Dimples in the (Wood look Vinyl-Luan-Styro Foam) Floor! Youroo!!

My recliners appear to be in contact with the floor over the entire surface of the big, round "foot" supporting the recliner.

Our L/Bs have a square framework with (4) plastic pads that made contact with the Floor. Our L/Bs are (Home) type, maybe (RV) type are on a Round Foot? Youroo!!

Some of them come with the swivel base, had a dealer tell me once they order them in for their units. or they can be ordered from a LazyBoy store if you have the model number of your chairs. The model number can usually be seen on a tag if you flip the chair over. You'll see the tag when you flip it to install the felt pads!
