Just came back from several days camping in Hatteras North Carolina. Stayed at Camp Hatteras campground. Spotted 2 other Windjammers and 1 V lite while there. So they are not becoming dinosaurs. The V nose still survives.

Picking up new WJ 2809W next Tuesday. Stepped up from Flagstaff 21FBRS. Loved our Micro Lite, but wanted more room. 21 feet to 31 feet ought to do it. Really like the V nose. Looked at them a lot before finally making the decision.

They are getting harder to find.... The wife and I put in a 1,600 mile trip to the Grand Canyon and back and only saw 1 Windjammer (I-25 southbound at Springer, NM) and a V-Lite (I-40 westbound near Gallup, NM). I was surprised at how many Class C RV rental's were on the road. The rental business must be booming.

Cheers

Just a thought, it may be a east coast thing, I was at my dealer yesterday to pick up a part and they had no less than 10 on their lot, mostly the higher end models, they said they are fast movers. I am sure if they were not selling they would not carry them. I love mine.

Just got back from spending a few days at Mother Neff State Park just outside Moody, Tx. Had another Windjammer there. I think it was a 3006. Had bunk beds it the front.

We bought a WJ last summer and promptly headed for Sante Fe. Had a WJ parked on both sides of us at the campground.

Windjammer

Saw a V Nose in Thunder Bay, Ontario on Monday, first one in the area. Looked like it was a few years old. Didn't catch the license plate.

We've had a 3025 on order since last October. Darn things are hard to get maybe that's why you don't see so many. Last date we were given for arrival was July!!!!!!

I rode through Dodd RV in Yorktown Va today and they had 7 on the lot. I did not get the model numbers, they also have 2 used ones. No shortage here. Take a trip to Va, buy it here and camp your way back. " Just a Suggestion "

Just purchased new 2809W, but have not had it out yet, just driveway camping. Think we will really like it. Looked long & hard before making decision. Friends of ours recently got a new 2618W & love it.
Will be going to Grindstone in Virginia for 7 days starting 6/30; be there for the 4th.

Have your friends with the 2618W take a look at this thread from Tooters:

http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f34/3008w-and-2618w-owners-need-to-read-this-69143.html

It deals with a problem with the fridge when traveling with it on.

Alright youroo; Where are you hiding? I knew I felt like somebody was watching me.:
I'm going to do my best to own one of every model FR makes before I depart this earth, & seeing how I'm 65 I probably don't have that much time to get it done.
Seriously, I think this is the last one.

They did not know about this problem, but I did & told them & it was taken care of by dealer before they took delivery.
THANKS

We just finalized the deal on our 2014 Windjammer 3008W today! Camping World must be liquidating Tom Raper RV stock (and even though it's new it's 2 model years old). So proud of my husband's negotiating skills. Going Saturday to look at it, have the walk-through and schedule delivery. Dream camper!
