Thanks! Haven't been there myself; I'd like to. Maybe when I retire.

Last day (Sat. 06/19) of our trip and then heading home tomorrow. We're scarfing down some ice cream in West Yellowstone when a Windjammer goes by at the corner of Madison and Canyon at 3:50PM.

Saw a Windjammer and a Vlite going north on Hwy 49 just south of Hattiesburg today. They could have been traveling together.

Another Windjammer will be on the road Monday the 29th. Heading north from NE Fla; up I95 & spend the night at Colleton SP in South Carolina. Tuesday continuing on north to Grindstone CG in Trout Dale VA. Be there for 7 days (meeting friends who also have a WJ). Would be nice to see someone from FRF.
Happy & safe camping to all & enjoy the July 4th celebration where ever you may be.
We live in a great country.

Well our windjammer saga continues. After waiting seven months it finally arrived. Seemed ok until we got it home and found that the Dometic ref now has two fans in them to keep them working and the noise is the level of a firetruck siren about a half block away. Called the factory he told me to tighten the screws ha the screws aren't the problem its the way the fans are made and their placement. If that wasn't bad enough now the Forest River people have lost the manufactures statement of origin so no can get a title.. Was suppose to leave on extended trip Tuesday.. Wonder if that's going to happen..

After three incredible seasons with our Windjammer, we are upgrading and leaving the Forest River family.

We sealed the deal on a new 2016 Jayco North Point Fifth Wheel 375BHFS. We have about 10 weeks left with our Jammer before we make the trade.

It's been real FRF. Stay safe and Happy Camping!

Others have complained of fridge fans (usually if the fridge is in the slideout). They've replaced them with quieter computer fans. Do a search.

I have had and still having some issues with my 3008 but the fridge is so quiet I have to look sometimes to make sure it is running. So far it works great.

It is a 2015 Dometic. I'm not sure of the model number of the fridge but will get it when we go to the trailer. Sure hope it stays working as it has.

Great trip

Just made an 11 day trip to Virginia in our WJ 2809W & everything went great. No problems or issues; even the "Chinabomb" tires performed flawlessly. Just kept an eye on pressure. The only problems were we left 95+ degree temps here in NE Fla. to low 70's for highs & upper 50's to lower 60's for lows & returned to sunny Fla. today to upper 90's.
Still it was a great trip.

Where in the world did you find those temps in Virginia ? I live on the coast of Va and today it was 98. I figure you would have to go way north to get ip to those temps. Glad you had a good trip, I looking forward to a trip in the fall to the mountains to find some cool air.

Charles
We were at Grindstone Campground near Troutdale. We've been going there for the last four or five years & the temps are always like that. We really enjoy it there. Go to bluegrass music jams all over that area with friends; lots of fun if you like that sort of thing. They do close for the winter, but a great break from the heat even during the middle of summer. About 20-30 minutes from a larger town, so take everything with you. Beautiful drives in any direction.
You live in a great state & we really like it there. Happy camping & be safe.
