Wow, That's crazy! We're so new to the RV thing that we tend to go overboard checking & double checking everything before pulling out. Not sure how that slide out so far went unnoticed!

Just kidding! Nice rig and it's nice to have a camping buddy. Just remember your site # and don't enter the wrong one!

On our trip up to Pigeon Forge, I think we saw about six Windjammers.

Didn't see but one V-Lite other than ours. Yes, the nose gets attention. We had three people ask for "the tour".

Everyone seems to think the nose is "just storage", and when they see our large bathroom, double sinks/mirrors/medicine cabinets, with huge linen closet up top with a great "dirty laundry cabinet" in the bottom cabinet in the point, they're wow'd!

Of course there's also storage above the toilet and under each sink, so actually it's great "just storage" along with a really large bathroom to boot.

And, the dual LP tanks are stored inside that nose cone too!

Can ya tell I'm lovin' our V-Lite?

Now I have a confession;

First time I saw the V-Lite I said to DH....

ugh! no way! That looks like a horse trailer!

And then I stepped inside.....

Now *this* a real coincidence.

I read your post, closed out the forum and found this on Fox News' home page:

Weezer, it was in the high 90's and the water felt great. The river is down and it was still tough to move "upstream". We found a nice little pool below about a four foot waterfall and just relaxed there watching everyone else. It's worth the visit.

Camping in Mackinac City, MI and for the first time I am in the campground with a fellow v-lite. They have had theirs since 2008 and still love it. This my second season with ours and still love it too. This is the only v-nose I have seen all camping season.

Tried checking in tonight on the Ecoboost engine in Ford but the salesperson at the dealership was worthless. All of her information was left blank or read "TBA"

Hope this helps....We have a 2011 F150 4x2 Supercrew Lariat Series with 145" wheelbase 3.73 axle ratio and 3.5L V6 Ecoboost engine. It is equipped with the select shift transmission, max tow package chrome including trailer brake controller and trailer sway control. 7400 GVWR, 16,900 GCWR, 1930 max payload, and max trailer weight of 11,300. We are first timers and are currently looking for the perfect trailer to go with our truck :-) We like the Windjammer too!

Be very careful

An overloaded tow vehicle can be very dangerous and won't last very long if you are running the guts out of the engine, transmission and brakes. We tow a Windjammer 2609W with a 2012 F-350 Super Duty 6.7 diesel and towing and braking in all terrain is a piece of cake. Original calculations called for an F-250 and included a healthy margin for performance and braking. However, we got a better deal on the 350 and now we can load up with the Hog (875 lbs) in the back and still pull any hills that come our way. The short version is: go a bit over on the tow vehicle and have a lot more fun and less worry and repairs.

Love our 2015 2819VS Windjammer. Lots of room and it pulls great. First one we looked at was a 2609, but dealer had a sale on the 2819 that had more features and a little more room. Were we store our trailer there is another older Windjammer right next to us and a Flagstaff V two row over. Hope Forest River keeps making them.
