Met two new happy campers and had great conversations about our V-Nose' all weekend. Camped at the RVC Outdoor Destination in Pine Mtn. Georgia - less than two miles from Calloway Gardens. Plenty of pull through sites, but the paved area of the pull through is just about exactly as wide as your trailer. Sites were reasonably sized. Garbage pickup twice a day. Clean bathrooms and showers. The one thing I just didn't like is that they have permanent trailer residents. Those sites just looked terrible. We won't go again, simply because the only thing to do in the area was Calloway Gardens - Christmas in Lights. Pine Mtn. is very small and extremely limited. The only grocery store took 2.5 days off for Christmas. We ended up driving to LaGrange - 17 miles away to stock up for the weekend. The most important thing was that our Windjammer was absolutely the best we have ever experienced in Camping. We found some minor fixit ticket items, but everything worked as it was supposed to. Very, very pleased with the purchase.
Russ, if you're still there, drive over to Warm Springs, GA and go thru FDR's Little White House. Very interesting and the town has some nice shops to plunder thru too. About 30 min. away from Pine Mtn.

We too will never stay at the rv park you are staying in. Had a bad experience with them. I'd sleep in the truck before I would stay there.

Welcome to the V-nose family!

We came home yesterday. Did not get to the FDR White house. I actually thought it was in the FDR State Park which is real close to Pine Mtn. I think we might make that a day-trip from another location this year. Thanks.

Glade to hear your first trip out was a good one. Welcome to the V-Lite group. Good info about the RV park. Later RJD

Glad you're happy. We purchased one 2 yrs ago that turned out to be a lemon so our dealer mid America Rv in Carthage mo replaced it with a new 2016 model. Pulled it 8,000 miles this summer with no problems. Only saw two others. It pulls like a dream and it had easy setup.

I hope this isn't off-topic for this thread, I'm sorry if so.

We purchased our new 2015 Windjammer 3025w in October, and due to my Dad's declining health were unable to take her out camping since. We did, however, have a camp out at our home for our adult kids/grands in late Oct. and had a great time. We are really pleased with our Windjammer.

My question for other Windjammer 30+ owners -- are you pleased with the fuel mileage you are getting when towing your trailer, thinking when not in mountains?

The reason I'm asking is the one time we towed her (home from the dealership) it was about a two-hour drive, but we seemed to be struggling to get down the interstate. It was raining, and even though it was dark, it looked as though we were driving into the wind. Our tv is a 2011 GMC 2500HD 4x4.

Thanks.

Deb

We have a Rockwood 3008 that we got new last year and love it. We pull ours with a Chevy Silverado half ton which does an adequate job of towing it. I figure I get about 2 More miles to the gallon pulling it compaired to the coachman we had. I get around 9 to 10 miles to the gallon. And that is in the hills of pa.

We're towing our 3008w with an F150 3.6 v ecoboost (with the twin turbos) with no problem and that was through the mountains as well. The best milage we got was around 9 or 10 but averaged 8 through the mountains.

Pulling my 3025W with a 2012 Ram 1500 - 5.7 Hemi and so far on two trips, dealer to storage (3 hour drive) Maiden voyage (another 3 hour drive) I have been right around 10-12 MPG.
