I am looking at getting a 2012 V-Lite 30WTBS. My current trailer, "2008 Jayco Feather LGT 311" has the water heater controls on the control panel on the inside. If you want to use propane you switch the propane button, if you want to use electric, you switch the electric button.

Is it different in the v-lite? Do you actually have to go outside to turn it on with electricity? That seems a little strange to me and very inconvenient. Could it be different for the 2012 units.

Our 2012 Windjammer is set up set up that way. Once I know water is in the hot water heater I flip on the electric button outside. I turn on the propane from inside for about 20 minutes to get the water heated up and then shut it back off. The electric stays on until we pull out of camp. So far it really hasn't been an issue.

Also, several have added an electrical switch inside the TT for convenience or use the fuse/breaker to control the electrical side of the WH. See this thread regarding the mod to install a switch. Water Heater Switch with Power-on Light

We picked up our 2102W last June and have not seen another Jammer or other Vnose on any of our travels. We love the big front bath and would not even consider a change. May be we will find others when we head south out of the snow in April for three weeks in the sun. We are towing with a 2007 Expedition that doesn't seem to be quite enough but can not afford to buy a truck right now.

Wonder how many of us V nosers will be at Elkhart in Aug. We are going inot season 3 and just came back from the locl RV show last weekend and there is still nothing out there we would replace our 30WRLS with. Every year we make one change to it though. last year was the recliners with ottomans and this year is a power tongue jack and new tires.

We were planning on bringing ours to the Rally but then something unexpected (but pleasant) came up so we had to change around some summer plans. I really wanted to go into the production plants. Maybe another time. Just hope the pointy noses are well represented.

I plan to attend the Int'l Rally in August with my V-Lite 30WFKSS. Looking forward to meeting more V-nose owners. See you there!

Hello all. Just ordered a Flagstaff 30WTBS, which has the quad bunks in the front and rear bedroom with slide. So excited to start camping. We should get it sometime in the middle of April. Getting the Equalizer Hitch 1200# system. Anyone done a factory tour in Elkhart, Indiana? Thinking about going there.
