Awning issues

Our power awning on our 2011 rockwood 2702SS doesn't roll up correctly. The dealer has tried to fix it a couple of times with no luck. He says it doesn't hurt it and it's fine to use it. It is tighter at one end and normal at the other. Anyone have this issue and if so, what is the fix?

Almost looks like fabric is not cut square!
If its under warranty id request a new one!
There's no sense in that imo!

When we first brought it home it was even but it seems to get worse each time little by little

Ours is the same way and the roller tube has a distinctive bow to it and of course they say no problem it's fine, I don't think so. Been trying to get dealer to see things my way but not having a whole lot of luck may have to go directly to Forest River or awning manufacturer.

Is the awning fabric centered on the roller went the awning is rolled out?
It's hard to tell from the pictures but it looks like its tracking to the front end as it's being wound up.

It has been pulled both ways little by little by the dealer to try and figure this out, but either way doesn't seem to help much

Watch the wrinkled end as you roll it up. You'll see that the material drifts one direction or the other on the roller. Mine does the same - No big deal. The fabric has shifted on the roller. The ONLY fix is to take the WHOLE awning asm and fabric OFF the trl in order to properly realign it on the roller due to the pressure of the material on the roller while on the trl. Like I said mines the same way No big deal. The next time you get any amount of wind and the awning startes flapping it will shift on the roller again.

We have a 2109S, which we bought in April this year. Been on two 10 day trips, and the awning is binding on the way in. I stop it, extend it about 6 inches, and start back in. Goes all the way in nicely then. Comes out with no problem, but the last time I brought it in, it was pouring rain, and I brought it in binding and all. Went to my FR dealer today, and talked with the mechanic. He said they are having trouble with many awnings, and the culprit is the motors on the electric awnings. He said most of the awnings will come in crooked, as the motors get worse. Our trailer will go back before the next trip for a new motor.
