Awning issues

Hi,
I have 2002 Rockwood Freedon 1640LTD. It has a Carefree Colorado Awning on it. I have tried getting the awning up to no avail. The problem I am having is tryting to get the height correct so that I can walk under the awning without having to bend over. It looks like all of the pieces are there I just feel I must be doing something incorrectly. Any thoughts..?

Are you able to get the awning fully deployed, but the pitch of it is just too steep? If so, the arms on both sides have spring-loaded silver buttons that you can depress to raise or lower either side (or both) of the awning.

If the front edge of the awning is too low for you (meaning the pitch is too steep) you can raise the awning to a more level position by depressing the buttons and sliding the arms upward until the button snaps into a lower hole on the arm.

This is for the Carefree of Colorado power awning.
