Awning issues.

Me again! We are on our inaugural trip in our mini-lite 2502ks and the awning has stopped working:-( when we push the button to extend the awning nothing happens and the light on the water heater switch goes out. We've checked the fuses and they are fine.

You got a remote for the awning? If light out maybe it did not ignite. Turn off and try again. Wait a few sec. Later RJd

No remote. The water heater is running fine it's just the light that goes out when you push the button for the awning

If batteries up, pull switch panel and check, with 12 volt test light, the switch for power...If present, check the switch, with test light, when activating switch, to check for power flowing thru switch. If ok, you'll need a ladder to access the plug-in connector at the awning roller...have friend push switch, check for power..if ok, need motor....not to hard to change. Let us know how it goes.

If it ignited, would be easy fix...replace trailer...

Sounds like your battery is dead? Or the motor is locked up and pulling high amps pulling the battery down causing the light to dim.

We decided to take a breath and let it be and enjoy the rest of our weekend. We are taking it to the shop next weekend. I'll let you know what I find out. Thank you again. I'm learning a ton!

We finally got the camper to the dealer today. They said motor was stuck and would need replaced. Also replacing our thermostat with is calibrated 9 degrees off. Finally they will be fixing some rust issues on the stairs. This is a brand new camper after one 3 day shakedown trip. Should I be nervous it was this shaky?? LOL
