Awning lights that will roll up

Is there anyone that is using awning lights that slide in the channel on the roller tube that can be rolled up with the awning? Just looking to make set up a little easier. Thanks

These LED lights look pretty cool, but we just don't want to purchase any more light sets until the ones we have die. We have SO many of them. My DH did a quick nifty mod to make putting up and taking down lights a breeze.

Do a search for this:

I'm thinking of these lights for my 20' awning but noticed it has self adhesive and was wondering if this is how you installed yours and how is it holding up?

EastlakeRoo, I don't have them, DW does not like lights hanging or attached to the awning in any fashion and therefore...

I just found them on the internet to try to be helpful. Sorry that I misled you.

I have these on my toyhauler and love them. I just have them wrapped around the ends of the awning and they roll up with it. I have been using them for a couple of months now and have had zero problems with them. I like the fact that they are fully controllable (i.e. dimming, changing colors, blinking, fading, etc...) Definitely a great buy for the RV!

Looks great. I was looking to stick them to the roller tube and plug in when extended. I see that the leds are slim and flexible so this should not damage the awning like other thicker lights. Will keep everyone posted. Thanks.

Instead of the awning roller i have now heard of the LED Lights being installed right to the trailer where the awning meets the trailer when rolled up. This sounds like it might be a better place to install that wont impact awning fabric and may even last longer. What are your thoughts?

I wanted to mount mine to the wall inside of the awning frame. I tried the 3M double sided tape, to no avail. The tape would stick to the camper fine, just not to the light strip...

"Inside" meaning along the wall on the lower side of the frame "U" shape after it is rolled up, not inside of the frame mechanism.... Hmmm, clear as mud???

Now that is a great idea. The rolled up awning should protect the LED strip when traveling. A Velcro tie (or ties) can secure the power cord to the awning leg. I like it. Just went on the "investigate - To Do" list.
