I have a 8317SS with a slight bow; its called deflection. Its the natural bow of material under its own weight which is exaggerated by its length. If you have wrinkles in your awning when it's rolling up that is what is causing the wrinkles. THe only way to fix it is to increase the diameter of the roller tube, increase its wall thickness or add more webbing internal to the tube to give it more structural rigidity.
