Axle or Bushings?

While in Iowa last month I noticed excessive tire wear on the inside of the left rear tire. I put the spare on to get me home. The spare also is showing some wear also.

The left front tire is also showing some wear on the inside, but not as severe.

I took to an alignment shop today and they said they could not do anything. That the rubber bushings appear to be deteriating.
I then went to a local RV Dealer and he said it's not repairable, the axles needs to be replaced.

It's hard to see here, but a person can see space between the top of the axle and the rubber bushing, as if the bushing is torn.

Rear bushing looks about the same, but I don't see any gaps or tears.

Does anyone have experience with this problem and what is recommended?

Blaster,

To post pictures either use the attachment icon "paperclip" in the advanced menu, upload to your photo album, or a photo sharing service like Flicker or Photo bucket.
