Question Azdel Onboard

Wondering why, Rockwood and Flagstaff Mini and Micro's do not use Azdel and Coachman does...

Thinking the Rockwood and Flagstaffs are higher end RV's and I do see where there is more for your dollar in these units, but no Azdel for the build.

Seems like it would put the Mini and Microlites over the top with bang for your buck if they were built with the Azdel.

Hey if they use it in the Freedom Express Coachman's, c'mon Forest River!

Step up!

We looked at a few Freedom Exp. Coachmans, and we felt not as much quality as you get in the Mini and Micro's...

No Dexter rubber axels, no Showermiser, and the welds I looked at on the Coachmans... Hey Forest River, not a good idea to allow a blind person to weld on RV frames!!

Just sayin...

Since you are addressing Forest River in your post, you appear to be operating under the false belief that this forum is operated by Forest River. It is not. It the bottom of most full site pages, you will find “DISCLAIMER: This website is not affiliated with or endorsed by Forest River, Inc. or any of its affiliates. Hello, GB!
So you believe he thinks FR/Coachmen/Rockwood/Flagstaff employees are reading this and are making changes to their build process? OK, then.

You do know that Azdel for the most part is just a marketing pitch, right? Unless your RV has a serious water leak it offers no benefits other than the cute sticker and perceived bragging rights. If your rv has not had substantial, consistent leaks, in order for the panel to get saturated and mold, it is of no benefit.

I wouldn't let the lack of Azdel keep me from buying a unit that is otherwise to my liking. But if I had a low cost Azdel option choice I'd specify it.

One reason why I chose my Forest River travel trailer is because it features Azdel.

Actually, there are FR employees here. The GM of the Dynamax division, Brian Clemens, is a regular poster and addresses customer comments and discusses production line changes. The head of the Georgetown division also does when he can. Brian was just promoted to having all motorized divisions under him and he said he is working to get FR people actively reading and responding.

I'd imagine this will happen to non-motorized as well eventually.
