Bad marathon tire

Hope this is on the right page for posting! Just had a Good Year Marathon
tire ST225/75R15 D-1 to go bad. Caught it before it blew out. I noticed the tire was running 20 degrees hotter than all the rest of my Rockwood tires.
The tire began to show signs of wearing on the outsides with the tire showing signs of getting larger in diameter. Instead of a flat tread across the face of the tire, the tread was round across the face. The tire was purchased in 4/2011 and had about 15000 miles on it. I always ran 65 PSI on the tire as required for max load. The tire was replaced by "DISCOUNT
TIRE" but prorated due to wear and use. I use a laser handheld device for temp checking of my tires purchased from Harbor Freight, works great.

Thought I would pass this on to all Marathon users.

What was the date stamp on the tire? Where is your TPMS?

That may not be a tire defect that caused the strange wear...could be a damaged axle or alignment.

I have 4 Marathons doing the same thing. How much did the new ones cost you?

Had similar problem on my previous tires and sound that they were out of alignment. Considering where you live I would take it to an alignment shop in Orlando. I would recommend the one I used. Email me and I'll give you the details on the shop.

Well they are 4 years old, should be replaced anyway, and you are famous for hitting curbs, you can't see as well anymore, and you just won't admit it....
