Battery question
I have a new 2016 FW8289WS. For the first week I've been at a campground with 30amp plug in. Battery has been in the pushed in position; which I assumed was the connect position. I didn't raise rear stabilizers before I disconnected the power cord and tried to use battery power to raise rear stabilizers.....they didn't work. I had to plug FW into my truck to raise rear stabilizers. Battery power panel in FW says battery is fully charged. What could be the problem? Am I missing something here?

Follow the positive battery cable to a current limiting circuit breaker.
Might be two.
See if one needs reset.

The battery needs to be in the pulled out position; pushed in it's in the disconnect position. Doesn't seem right, but that's how it is on our trailer. As far as the battery monitor, maybe it's showing full charge because you are hooked up to the truck, and it's getting the full 13.6 V or whatever it is the on-board battery charger puts out when charging. Good luck and let us know!

Thank you so much for the responses. I did have it backwards. With the knob pulled out the rear stabilizer will retract on battery power. It was opposite to what I would thought.

I can still never keep it straight. I push it or pull it and then hit the entry light switch on the panel. If the light comes on I have it backwards. Some kind of memory block that keeps me from remembering.
Or, maybe old age.
My wife remembers. But then she is much younger than me. (2 years)

Just label it and be done with it, that way when you take it out of winter storage in spring time you wont have a memory fart.

Think of it as a panic switch. Hit it and you instantly disconnect power. If you have an electrical problem, all you do is push to stop power. It is a great feature.
