Battery Shut Off Switch

Just picked up our new Signature 8328BS TT, anyone know where my battery shut off switch might be?
I’ve read over the “generic” owners manual (lol) not much help!
My previous unit ‘14 8289WS had it up front in the centre compartment, but no such luck on this one.

Look around the battery compartment. Maybe on the ceiling.

Might not have one. My 5th wheel came without one. I just simply pull the negative off my battery when I don't want parasitic draw.

Mine is mounted on the frame, underneath the left propane tank.

Why didn't the dealer show it to you on your PDI?

Not sure why they didn’t. I just call them (the dealer) I I got bounced from sales to service, they had no idea!
They didn’t even remember who I was from just yesterday.

Classic. Apparently a large optional/recreational purchase doesn't get you far these days.

Use common sense. Trace the positive (RED) battery wire from the battery post and it "should" connect to the switch, but nothing is done correctly in the rv trade. On my previous TT, it went to a switch that was located inside the "V" portion of the A frame well behind the hitch head under the propane tanks.

If you have a kill switch in your trailer it is possible the manufacturer moved it to a different location, who knows - keep looking.

It looks like your dealer is "some piece of work" and you may run into some frustrating issues if you ever need (warranty) service, we ran into this with a dealership near Edmonton a few years ago and thanks to FR were directed to a different service center that took care of us, be prepared.

Mine is attached to the frame that holds the propane tanks. It is well hidden by the cover over the tanks.

First you need to find out if it has one.

We have never owned a TT that had one factory installed.

Good Luck.

Mine is located under the propane tanks and has a removable key on a short retaining cable. It is bright red, but is out of sight from the top.

On my Rockwood 2604WS it is located right at the converter and breaker panel. It is factory installed and isolates everything except nose jack, outside light at the trailer front and breakaway switch. The wardrobe slide is fused separately also and is not affected by the cutoff switch.

My battery disconnect is a push/pull knob inside on the end of the kitchen sink counter, about 6" above the floor, 18" from the breaker panel and 10ft from the battery. It has a circular label on it.

Should be mounted on the A-frame, between the propane tanks and the battery.

SHAME on your dealer for not showing you it, cause it's a basic thing in any good PDI.

I reckon their idea of a PDI is a mere hand-off. I hope they didn't charge you for a PDI?

Thank you all for all of your replies and suggestions today, heading out tomorrow morning (unit is still in storage due to snow conditions) to look for this elusive shut off switch.

Unless the storage has power and you can keep a charge on the Traler battery you need to disconnect one of the leads from the battery.
