Bent stabilizing jack
Well i took the cover off the t.t this weekend and found everything to be fine on the inside but not on the outside. The rear stabilizing jack arm had bent sometime over the winter i guess from the weight of the snow and also the shifting of my driveway from all the ice and snow. I spent the next day removing the unit and trying to straighten it the best i could. Its a Lippert unit and i was wondering if there was a way to replace just the jack leg and not the whole unit. i went to the website but could not find any replacements. if any one has an ideas or had the same issue please let me know on what you did. i would really hate to pay $500 for a new unit.

You can't buy the part separate from what folks on the forum have found. But, if you're handy- you can fix it:

NOT the Lone Ranger...
Lippert's manual says the sell parts; but not so.
They do sell the entire unit on their web site.
Electric Stabilizer Jack|Lippert Components RV Accessories|Lippert Components
They do sell the motor, though.

Timely post for me since it also happened to us 2 days ago. We were set up and asleep in the middle of the night when one of our front jacks buckled. I thought someone had hit our trailer. I suspect that since the RV spot was not paved that the ground settled and allowed extra downward pressure on that jack but do not really know. We took it by the dealer on the way home and they are contacting Lippert to see about replacing.

After seeing others bent, I removed mine and reinforced them. Also modified a set to put in front of the axles and I can just about lift the front tires off the ground before it trips the 20A breaker. Also replaced the strap supports with 3/4" pipe with flattened ends. The jacks with the bent leg that Herk pictured were traded to me and thanks to Youroo, I traded them for the noisy set they took off his camper @ the Goshen Rally last year. I love the jacks now that I reinforced them.

Thanks for the pics OldCoot. I really like the way you did yours and i think I'm going to do the same mod to mine. I'm not much of a welder but i can definitely get it fabbed up and have my friend do the welding for me.

Suggest you get some 3/4" pipe and fab some struts to replace the straps or have your friend weld a pc of 1/4' x 3/4" or 1" bar to the outside of the factory straps to keep them from bowing.
I split a pc of 2-1/4" sq. tubing 0.150" wall for the leg reinforcements.
