Best highway Ohio to Grand Canyon

In 2014 I'll be taking my 5th wheel from Ohio to the Grand Canyon and southern Utah. The shortest way is I -70. It also has the highest mountains. Would I-40 or some other way be better?

Try to get down onto I-40 then across to the Grand Canyon then work your way up into southern Utah. How you get out of Utah and back home depends upon your time schedule. I-70 going west to east has a steadier climb but a steeper downgrade vs. the other way around. I-80 is good but a little out of the way unless you are going farther up into Utah.

FWIW I-70 then north from Rifle Co thru Meeker,Craig and Baggs Wy ain't worth it.

Take 70 unless your really worried about your tow vehicle. It's not that bad and the views thru CO and UT are well worth it.
