Bike Rack for Rockwood 1980

This is my first time posting here, so Hello to all. Now with that said, I have a 2005 Rockwood Model 1980 Pop up camper and love it. However, we just picked up a (four bike) Bicycle rack from Liberty RV in Liberty, MO. My wife ordered it after seeing it on the Forest River website under the options. So then we traveled for an hour (closest Rockwood Dealer to us) to go pick it up. When I got home and installed it, it seems that it is the wrong one. After it is clamped to the A frame, just behind the Propane tank, and I put on the top rack for the bikes it runs diagonal to the front edge of the camper and not parallel to it. Does anyone have any experience in this and would be able to point me in the right direction? If so I would love to hear from you. We're taking the kids to the Black Hills later this month and want to do some biking while there. Thanks GaryG
