bizarre rattling noise in TT
Wondering if anyone has any ideas about a crazy rattling noise that occured three times last night in our TT.
And while I do indeed have a good sense of humour, let me avoid the bevy of replies that otherwise would surely ensue, by saying no, the trailer was not "rockin" at the time!
The noise was loud and rapid... the closest thing I can equate it to is the sound of rattling water pipes... but louder and faster than any rattling pipes I've ever heard. It sounded like it was definitely coming from under the floor... likely exacerbated by echoing effect of the sealed bottom.
Because of that sealed bottom it is impossible to see anything. The only exposed thing you can see is a pipe running down one side, but it is firmly affixed with nothing to rattle against... I think it is a gas line, but I could be wrong. Beyond that pipe, I had assumed everything else in the trailer was flex lines.
Was cool here so the furnace was on several times in the night. Beyond that, nothing else was running. Taps/toilet were not being used anywhere near the time of the noises. We are connected to city water, so not pump/leak related. The only thing I did to the trailer the day before was to tighten up the factory stabilizers.
Any ideas of what the sound could be? This is our second season --- have never heard anything remotely like it before.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
