I don't have this issue but curious if this circuit board goes inside the lamp enclosure inside the fridge or on the back side of the fridge?

This board at the top, front and center in the refrigerator compartment - right where the door light switch is. Its held up by the white plastic cover which has holes for the LEDs to shine through (and to diffuse the light a bit). The screws in the wells actually hold the cover up and the cover then holds the board up.

Ok. So if that board is in the refrigerator how does it sense ambient temperature?

That board only has the lights. The actual control board is on the back side and there is a thermistor clipped to the fins in the refrigerator that senses the temperature (part 'C' on the schematic I posted on the previous page).

???? Blue light
We waited two months but received our white replacement circuit board free from from Dometic. It has two electrical connections, not at all the clear or white lightbulb I expected. It was tricky to replace but what a difference.
We took out all the clear plastic shelf covers and got rid of the blue lights. I bet Dometic spent a lot of money making changes. Now we have a fridge just like the two we have had in past 5th wheels and are happy.
Yes, I can see what is in containers again. Executives of corporations should have to try out their changes for a month before making them.

I remember having a washing machine with a blue light in it years ago. It, too, was supposed to kill bacteria. I think it was an ultraviolet light. Haven't seen anything like that in an appliance since. I would guess it stays on. That should be able to prove by cheating the light switch with the door open.

But to have any effectiveness doesn't a blue light have to stay on for more than the 10 seconds it does when he door is open? Obviously the best system will bathe the fridge with blue light and switch to white when the door is open.

I read this thread and it got my curiosity so I searched and found that article, I would think the light would have to stay on all the time for it to be effective but who knows

I changed mine out, and we are quite pleased. Amazing how nasty a T- bone looks in blue light. I would want to see the engineering report stating that a blue led is in the UV spectrum and has any bacteria killing properties. Havent got sick once from my camping meals in all the years... Its hit an miss whether Dometic comps the board or charges you for it. Mine came N/C. a couple friends had to pay $13 for it. I guess it's how squeaky a wheel you are.
