Blue ox
Any one using a blue ox sway pro hitch? I'm thinking of getting one to tow my Windjammer. I read good reviews on the hitch, but would like to hear from anyone using one.

Love the Blue Ox, have a SwayPro 1500. Search the forums here, a few have posted about it and the positive difference it made towing compared to other WDH.

I'm a believer
I am using the BX1500 version between the V-Lite and F-150 and am extremely happy with it. Effective weight distribution restores nearly 100% of front axle weight when hitched. Sway control is just as effective. Very easy to set up and hitch up. Clean. Quiet. Easy to maintain. Lighter than the Equal-I-zer brand it replaced, so a bit easier to lift and less weight on the TV receiver.
I was delighted with the towing performance on a recent round trip from our home in Indiana through the Smokies on our way to Bonita Springs, FL. We are planning the ultimate test this summer as we visit Utah and Colorado.
I liked the Equal-I-zer. I like the Blue Ox even more.

Is anyone using the Blue Ox 2.5" shank with there sway pro setup ? my understanding is it only allows a maximum of 2.5" of drop. I really like the Sway Pro but need more drop if I can't use the 2.5" shank I'm thinking of going the the Equalizer any thoughts ?

The Blue Ox with 700 lb bars works great for us on our 2109S.
Easy to hook up, quiet and perfect sway control.
The only downside for me is since the 2 moveable parts have grease fittings you can get grease on yourself when putting the head into the hitch receiver.

I like mine, but I did have a failure. You can read about it here...... http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...e-95420-5.html (scroll down to the 2nd post). Blue Ox does stand behind their products, and I'm hoping what happened to mine was just a freak welding failure. I love the way my trailer tows with it!

I needed more drop too, and Blue Ox swapped out my shank for a longer one.

The Blue Ox website shows an 11 hole shank that drops up to 3.28". I would hope it would be available in the 2.5" configuration. Give them a call or email. Blue Ox is definitely worth the effort...love mine.

We also use the BO sway pro 500. We pull a classic 625d pop up with a Toyota Sienna. It pulls very well. The measurements are even on both wheel wells. I don't have the vertical with the PUP, so sway from tractor trailers and such never was a real problem, but what sway we do get is controlled very well. It is very quick and easy to hook up. Big plus that we don't get grease on the bars, and we can back up without removing them.

I use an adapter on mine to use a 2" shank with a 2.5" hitch. Works fine.

Have a Sway Pro with 1000lb bars on my F150 pulling a Windjammer 3008. Took a bit to get everything dialed in but it works very well. I have it on the bottom hole of a 7 hole shank.

Have had ours since 2010 and would not trade it for anything else. Once it is dialed in it is amazing at how well it controls your trailer.
