Brand new 2015 2109S

Just picked up our new 2015 2109S Tuesday 9/16. We're heading out this weekend for our maiden voyage to Meramec state park Missouri. Should be a great trip. I enjoy the forum. Thanks, Dave

Congrats on your new RV! Which line does it belong to? Sorry but I'm a bit curious. Have fun on your maiden voyage! We are here if you need anything but I'm sure you will do just fine.

Safe travels!

We've had our 2012, 2109s for 3 years now and just love it. It has everything that a larger unit has, but of course in a much smaller package. Ours has about 20,000 miles on it now and with the exception of a few "bugs" that we've mostly worked out, is a nice sturdy trailer.
Enjoy yours!

Congrats. We sure like ours. It is pretty easy to park it in any site. State, National & local parks are our favorite.

Love our 2109S sapphire mini lite

We picked ours up 2 weeks ago. First time "camper" campers and first camper ever bought. Kids are grown and gone, so it seemed fitting to get out of the tent. We have since learned a checklist is vital in no forgotten items you'll need. We realize the camper will collect condensation above our bed even with a window open a bit and make us feel like we're in a tent on a rainy night. Love the camper, will be velcroing the shower curtain and have spent 5 days in our new camper and love it! 😊 what a great Christmas getaway! Additionally, the GFCI under bathroom sink is good to remember when outlets aren't working...lol

Hey byronandmichelle. glad to see you enjoying the camper. Ours is a Rockwood 2109s but I'm sure they are close. We have had no problems with ours except the fresh water tank brackets bend and bow down when the tank is full. Many people say the same thing about theirs. I removed the rear bracket, which is the only one that bent, and welded another full length angle on top of the original giving double thickness. Our dealer admitted that they have seen brackets bend on the 2109s. they were going to fix it but I did it my self. Haven't traveled with it full yet to see. Many people don't travel with full tanks but we do sometimes on short trips. Our water at home is much better most of the time. We replaced the shower curtain in ours too. The original one was too short. We bought a regular household curtain. It was about 5 inches longer and works great. We hope to get out a lot in 2015. Be safe on the roads and enjoy your new camper. We got our 2109S in March 2012 and have spent over 6 months in it since then. We bought it for our trip to Alaska in 2013 and have also taken it on month-long winter trips to the Texas Gulf Coast and to southern AZ and NM. We have taken our grandsons camping in it and they had no trouble sleeping on the jack-knife sofa.

It got a little small after three months on the Alaska trip, but we were definitely comfortable the entire trip. In fact, we know several people who were so impressed with ours that one sold a 5th wheel and moved down into a Kodiak with the same basic floor plan. The other is planning to sell a 12 year-old MH and move down to either the Rockwood or comparable Flagstaff to tow with their existing SUV toad.

Because it is our first RV, we have spent nights in it in all the states and provinces shown on our maps. And, we have enjoyed RV'ing so much that we are selling the 2109S and buying a 2015 Rockwood 8244WS 5th wheel. So, if anyone you know is in the market for a good, used 2109S, PM me.
