Take a good look at the tire, it will read "made in China". Most ST tires are made in Asia and a good part of them in China. About all one can do is read the reviews, pick a known brand name and hope that they have good quality control. Maxxis are made in Thailand and have excellent reviews. Good Year Marathons are made in China and also have excellent reviews.

Yep, I found the "Made in China" on them....but all the sidewalls look pretty good so I'll keep an eye on them and swap them out in a year or two. (Sooner if I have any issues.)

Thanks!

I had Maxxis on my dump trailer. First one blew with just 4 yards of mulch on it the rest cracked and dry roted after 2 years. Had carlisles on my Rockwood Roo, replaced with Goodyears. Just ordered a Rockwood 8265WS hate the fact that I will need to put tires on it. But from what I see all manufacturers are using cheap tires. The Carlisles were just out of date code.

My choice also, turned into an insurance claim. Didn't listen to the little voice telling me to replace them. Turn out to be a tough lesson. Maxxis are made in China as well as Thailand. You really have to go with the reputation. Forums are generally a good source of forwarded experiences, like mine.
