Oh ok. But if I understand correctly, it's ok to add air to nitrogen filled tires, if nitrogen is unavailable. So there's not really much downside is there?

I was surprised to see that my 2017 Rockwood was delivered with Carlisle's on the trailer. I only have three trips or 600 miles on them so far including the 200 mile drive home from the dealer. So i can't provide any long term experience with them.

Unless your Rockwood was transported on a trailer, don't forget to add the 2000+ miles from Indiana to CA. (And probably at 70 mph!)

What size, load range and model Carlisle tires came with?

This is the first time I've seen this posted on several of the RV forums I frequent.

Can you add any more to the statement?

nitrogen tires

I did a PDI on my new Coachmen Apex yesterday. It also came equipped with Carlisle tires. I don't remember the size . They are C load rated and speed rated for 75 mph. I will have to with the load waiting for awhile but was surprised by the speed rating and the Carlisle tires.

I just got a set a month ago and put 250 miles on them last weekend. They ran smooth and cool. They also tracked very good. Hopefully they last for many more miles.

Interesting. Especially since new tires usually run hotter than identical old tires.
What were your TPMS temperature readings with old and new tires?
Were the 150 miles run at same load, speed and ambient with both old and new tires?
What brand were the old tires?

Happy Trailsj

Sorry the main (only significant?) advantage to using N2 is that it is dryer than air from a standard shop compressor, especially considering the relatively poor maintenance most shop compressors receive.

Cost for the service of inflating can be a considerable downside along with the need and expense to travel some distance to location that has N2. Travel cost is often not considered part of the equation.

Nitrogen filled tires... extra money for 21.91% more nitrogen than the air we breathe.

If you believe the nitrogen cheerleaders about "air" molecules being smaller and leaking out, then the percentage of nitrogen would always be rising from regular air because after the non-nitrogen leaked out what is left behind is... wait for it... nitrogen!

Where is that "it's a scam face-palm" emoji...

LOL!
