Coming Back to camping.

Well after our 3 month trip in our motorhome and the third repair on our Murphy bed we decided to give up and sold it (think the last one fixed it). Now after a year of no camping we realized how much we missed it. Just bought a 2014 F150 4X4 with the 5.0L and am now looking for a Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S or a Coachman Freedom Express 192RBS. I have a tow Cap. of 7600lbs so it should work well, both under 4000 lbs empty. Anyone have any advise good or bad on these units.

Thanks

WOW, Never thought I would see the day when there was no advice here. But, We decided to buy a 2017 Rockwood 2109S and will pick it up on Thursday. Guess I will need to update our Sig. when we take some pics.

You asked for advice on your specific model, so perhaps not many folks have that model to comment on. I'm glad you are back camping and hope you enjoy every minute of it! Just remember, it's the bad situations that make for the best stories later!

Not to scare you, but this thread is currently running:

2109s floor feels a little soft by the door.

We love our 2109S. It's easy to tow, easy to park, and has more storage space than anything else this size. The bathroom is pretty small, but it's functional -- and with the aid of an over-door towel rack and a few Command hooks, we can fit everything we need in there.

Hope you enjoy your new trailer!

Bought our 2109S in June. Tow it with 2014 F150 FX4 5.0L with no problems. Have gone on four trips so far and love the trailer. Welcome to the Rockwood Mini Lite community and enjoy yourselves.

I had read that tread before I had made the deal. I am 225 lbs and I bounced on the floor all over and did not see it. I am told that the floor has been changed from 3/8th to 5/8th and am in the process of confirming that for 2017 models. Also someone said the cover for the front window and the diamond plate were not on the 2017's but mine has both.

Now that is very useful information. Thanks to ekrus and Tmbuktu for the great and positive info on your units. The F150 info makes me feel very good.

Enjoy, we are just back at it, too! Retired and making the kids wonder where their parents are, now!
