I have cracks on both sides. They will be picking it up the week of Oct 14 and back 4 to 6 weeks later.
Just wondered how many others have had to send there TT’s back for this issue?
We love our Jammer but hate the cracks.
There are 14 instances of this problem reported in this thread, although not all of them involve Windjammers and not all of the Windjammers are the 3065 model owned by the original poster. Read the thread for more info.

Cracks in Exterior wall on Slide 2011 Wind Jammer

We have a Crack going from the top right corner to the slide window, and one on the Lower left corner starting to run to the Left Corner window. This happed 3 months after buying from Dealership and have no warranty on it as it only had 30 days. Any Suggestions what we could put on it to stop it? Does this happen because we have no support bars underneath the Bed Slideout?

I would reach out to Rockwood. They may be willing for help with the repair at this is a known issue. They were good to me; however it was under warranty at the time.

Please contact your factory directly. Since you live in Canada, I would contact their facility there if they have one. We went straight to the factory reps, in the US, when our V-lite cracked for the second time. They were very willing to fix the issue but we decided to just trade the unit instead and our dealer gave us a great deal on a 5th wheel.

Subscribing. Interested to see if FR steps up here. Technically, they don't have to. But if they have any integrity, they'll fix a known defect.

Yes but it's used as a substrate in lieu of thin Luan or marine plywood. Fiberglass glued on top, no delam.

Hey all. Sorry to bring this old thread back to life. I was looking at purchasing a 2011 3006w, and in researching it came across this thread. Should I stay clear of this unit? Thanks.

I think I would stay clear reading back through this thread. I certainly would not trust a dealer telling me or guaranteeing me anything. Maybe call Rockwood with the VPN of the trailer? They may be able to confirm it was built after the structural design changes. The gentleman mentioned, Doug Fought, is still at Rockwood and his contact info can be found at the Rockwood website under "contact us".

Personally I would look elsewhere. The trailer is almost 7 years old by model year. It would not be the first time repairs have not been taken care of for a 2nd owner and it appears most if not all of the people in this thread were 1st owners. If you buy it and a crack develops, you could end up SOL.

Cracks

The cracks in the side wall were only in the Wind Jammer 3065's, Forest River fixed the problems buy the time the 2012 WindJammer 3065 came out. The fix for the 2011 3065 models only were to ship back to the factory. They had to move the axle's forward 8", which involves Lippertt components (makers of the frame) cutting off the dual axles and moving them forward 8" and welding them back to the frame. And replacement of the whole door side (sidewall). They also gave us a complete new roof. We've actually still have our camper (2011- Windjammer 3065). And have had zero problems since. While at the factory for repairs they updated all interior equipment to the 2012 model. Our dumb cat used one end of the couch as a scratching post, destroying one end of our sleeper couch. We never asked them too, but they replaced the sleeper couch with a brand new one. Anything that was scratched or mared up from use they replaced for free. Yes I wasn't happy at the time that it had to go back to the factory for repairs, but they did the repairs at our convenience. I was very happy how we were treated.

Reading back through this thread there are a few people with the 3006 that also had the cracks?

Thanks for all the replies. I seems that the majority of the problems were with the 3065 model. However, there are models mentioned as well. I wonder how wide spread of a problem this is? This forum is the only place I've found it mentioned. Either way, I'll likely stay clear. I don't need the worry or stress of looking for cracks. It's a shame though - that is the perfect trailer for our family.

Are the new models affected? I've seen a few posts referring to issues with those as well, but they are much fewer in number.

I bought a 2011 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite earlier this winter. I opened the slides about a month after buying it and, low and behold a crack appeared above the corner of the large slide toward the back of the trailer. I believe the downside for me is that #1 I am not the original owner, and # 2 the trailer is 5 years old. Any comments or suggestions. I did do some phoning around and one repair company told me that they could clean the crack up and install a 1" trim piece over the crack and seal it. Would this be an adequate repair? Obviously, I'm not about to pay to have the entire sidewall replaced.Click image for larger version

Sorry, I forgot to mention that this is a 8319SS. The company suggesting this repair said that if the crack was caused by stress that it would likely happen again and at least by repairing it this way, that wouldn't be an issue. If this was a design flaw, is there any chance that FR would cover the repair?
