The previous photo is from our 2011 Rockwood Windjammer 3065, The crack just showed up one day(JUNE 30,2011),while the camper was setting in the driveway. We had just returned from Myrtle Beach SC. I was finishing up waxing the TT for another trip. We were planning to go to Cap Cod for a week. It must have happened when I ran the slides out. I knew there was chance the crack may occur because a couple have cracked recently. The wife was crying for the whole day after pointing it out to her. We have had nothing to mention of as anything wrong with the camper before this happened. Everything in the camper works great and fit and finish have been great also ! I'm also sad this happened because the camper has been trouble-free up to this point! --- Contacting Forest River next ! PS: The crack is in the area above the living room slide (door side)

We have contacted Doug Fought @ Rockwood/Flagstaff Div.- Warranty Manager. He was very sorry this has happened, they have had a few (3065)that have cracked in the same area, but on either side's of the camper. He told us to go ahead and use the camper as is,its not going to hurt anything (the crack). The factory is winding down there 2012 production runs around the 15th of Aug.-2011. So the camper can't come in for repair until after that date. I purchased the Windjammer-3065 from RVW in Ohio. So I was curious how this was going to work. Forest River contacted their local dealer closest to our home in Victor,NY (only a 7-mile drive from my house). We have to drop our camper off at that dealer on Aug.15th and a trucking company will pick it up from there! Great ! I was mad that TT cracked but Forest River is being great about it! (As they should!) They will have the camper 3-5 weeks and will bring the unit to our house when completed! I was told they are going to replace both walls even though only one has cracked. FR has re-designed the wall with more reinforcement in the crack area and are moving the double-axles back 8 inches on the frame. So hopefully that will keep it from happening again. Doug was very sorry for any problems it has caused, they actually asked me when we wanted it to come in for repairs. They would have taken it later in the fall if we wanted! They also inform us that any change to the model will be up-dated to the current year, with the 2013's getting ready for production in the fall/spring of 2012, our camper will be up-dated to the 2013 model year spec.'s. So I guess we'll be getting a completely new camper back. We shall see ! -- We where very happy with there(FR) warranty dept.'s quick response time ! They must be learning something from Prime Time Manufacturing !

2011 3065W Cracking

Hi David, I found the exact same issue with my 2011 Windjammer 3065W today. This is such a fantastic camper and it sure is disheartening to see the fiberglass cracked. I am glad to hear that Forest River has agreed to repair your camper properly. I am really hoping that Forest River corrects mine as well. Do you happen to have a phone number for Doug? I have attached a picture of the crack on my camper, I believe it is in exactly the same place as yours. Thanks for your post and good luck with the repairs.

Well we are now camper-less. The camper is now heading back to Indiana for repair. (It was our choice to do this week). We hope to have it back in 4-6 weeks. They are replacing both side walls and moving the dual axles back to the rear 8"-inches. Re-design for to much flexing on the 3065 model that caused the crack in the side wall. Keeping our fingers crossed everything turns out for the better !

Hope all goes well BigRed. We have a 2012 Windjammer 3008 and I am keeping a close eye on the walls. So far I haven't heard of any issues with our year/model but being a Windjammer and seeing what is going on--I'll keep an eye out.

Sorry for the wall issues. Hope that our delamination problem is handled as quickly as your problem. We are waiting to hear back from the dealer and Forest River.

Big Red, can you supply all the contact phone numbers you used for Warrenty at Forest River?

We just also came home from a 10 day trip and were washing the trailer today and discovered the same type of crack on our Windjammer 3065. Door side of living room tip out. Our trailer is a 2011 manufactured April 30, 2010. I'm attaching a picture of our crack. I hope they will do something for us as past 1 year of ownership this May. Also purchased from RVW in Ohio...we live in Ontario.

Doug Fought is the MAN !!!!!

Doug Fought is the man to talk to. Very easy to work with, has taken care of my problems. Very few fellows like Doug. A great asset to Forest River.

BigRed, glad to hear they are taking of you.

I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make, but you may want to check your tongue weight when the tt gets back.

I too would like the phone number. I had another issue and got a return call from I believe "Bob". When I returned the call he was on vacation for the week and his meesage was to call back in a week. Unfortunately for me my cell took the call and I thought the number was saved...it was not. Don't want to go through the e-mail forum again Proud owner of a 2012 Grey Wolf 25bh Thanks!

Doug is also the person that help us with repairs to our 2011 Forest River V-lite 30WRLTS. The trailer had a crack in the right side at the living room slide. Doug was super and great to work with. I was not happy with the dealer that sold me the trailer but I was very happy with the way the repairs were handled by Forest River and Doug. He is definitely the man to contact with any major repairs like this.

We never went through the dealership........called Forest River's Customer Service number and they gave the number to the Warranty managers office at the Rockwood/Flagstaff (they also manufacture the V-Lite model for V-Cross) Division of FR. The number and contact is different for each Division. We were taken care of with only one call to Forest River. We've contacted by e-mail since then. Very happy with the response time and the end result of getting our camper back to Forest River!

I was really getting concerned when I started reading about all these Windjammers cracking. My wife and I bought a 2011 3065W and have had 40 days of issue free camping... Day 41... not so good.
I took a look and sure enough... I have a crack.
It really sucks because this TT is now our home. We sold our home in Ohio and planned to travel for a year before putting down roots elsewhere. Looks like there'll be an interruption in these plans now .
Doug will be getting a call tomorrow along with this pic.

Man.........didn't mean to open the flood gates! Well, I guess they were right when they said they had a design problem! Also everyone I've talked to has had nothing to mention wrong with any other part of the camper. All and all they've been great ! At least they're fixing them! Hope they don't rush mine threw now that they have several to repair now.
