Create a breeze fan

Hi, Noticed that my create a breeze fan dome does not close all the way. It closes tight on the side with the crank handle but not on the opposite side. It is a manual crank. There is a cover over it too. Any ideas on how to fix it? How do you remove the fan to access the dome from the inside?

Not closed right---------------

First I would remove the outer cover to see if the crank open cover is actually catching on something. Maybe the outer cover needs to be adjusted
or repositioned so the crank up cover does not hang up on the outer cover..

You cannot service the lid from the inside.

Bingo! The vent lid needs to be moved a tad so it is centered. The lid is catching on the lip of the vent. I had to remove the vent hood and adjust mine.

Went on the roof to check the dome. It looks like the hinge on the dome is not attached to the vent housing. I was able to move it and see the hinge moving around. I tried to remove the cover over the dome by removing the clips from the pins but it wouldn't come off because of excess dicor applied underneath it. How do I get it off? Also what is used to attach the hinge to the frame?
