De-winterizing new 8329 SS

We just brought our new unit home this weekend, and going out the first time next week. Still some freezing temp's here in MD this week, so we still have the AF in it. I want to learn the process, and plan to de-winterize this weekend. I think I understand the process, but is it typical that the WH valves are buried behind a panel, under the kitchen sink? I can touch them, but they're not really accessible. What is "safe" disposal of the spent AF? Just leave it in the gray water and discharge at the dump station?

That is what I have always done. I make sure my first outing of the season is at a full hookup campground.
